Well a 500 rounds of buck and 500 rounds of slugs and 500 rounds of Birdshot, should be your minimum stockpile of 12 ga for SHTF.
If you can stock pile multiple thousands of rounds of each caliber you own, then more power to you, but while it's best to turtle up in a SHTF to protect your property from rioters or something, in the rare case you have to evacuate, how the hell are you going to transport a ton of ammo with you along with all of your other survival supplies?
