Is wet pack considered absolutely useless these days? I ask because it's much easier for the average layman to ensure even wetness than FAFF about with refrigerated gel.

Will post updates. Using 1 oz gelatin per 7 oz water. Cooling now. Going to reliquify after it solidifies to make it clearer.

At this point it feels like ballistic gel, but it's not very clear. It's not in a usable shape.
Twenty eight ounces of gelatin yeilds about 6 quarts. Not as clear as I had hoped, but overall happy with the results. Will post pics in the morning.

Ballistic gel is a way to have something consistent for comparing individual bullets to other bullets. Can't science with so many variables, adding bone could change up data. One bullet could hit a bone square on, another graze it, and another completely miss. How are you supposed to compare lethality when you're essentially hitting a different target?
I hear you though, bone and other tissues would change the properties of the shot.
