Invade who? Their army are pampered conscripts. The non comms are Malays and will not fight Malaysia or Indonesia. The officers are Chinks more interested in using the military as a ladder to a business career. No one will invade Singapore either. They're the golden goose of ASEAN. All trade goes through there. The Singaporean government also regularly bribes every politician in the region. They even managed to bribe Australia to allow them a military base there.

Singapore doesn't have a base there. They do use Shoalwater Bay though.
