I'm not going to claim it'll cut down trees; no sword is going to be built for that. As long as you have realistic expectations and aren't retarded, this sword will be fine.
Will a more expensive sword be better? Probably. But unless you've been taking longsword classes for years, a better sword won't mean shit to you.
