Some number of weeks ago I attempted to order an Uberti Walker from Dixie Gun Works. The gun never arrived and I can't seem to get a hold of them at all, so I was wondering if /k/ knew of any reputable dealers I could buy it from that would ship directly to my door instead of going through an FFL. The one gun store even remotely close to me has turned me away because I'm 18 and they don't want to sell a "handgun" to me despite reproduction muzzle loaders being classified as curios and relics per state and federal law.

any help would be greatly appriciated

Wait. Let me get this straight. You want to
>buy a handgun
>online
>and have it shipped to your door
>without an FFL
>in California
>as an 18 year old
I see nothing wrong here.

but it's not a handgun according to federal and state law, look up the penal code, it's catagorized under curios and relics

One, states don't need to follow federal law to restrict guns because fuck you and two contact Dixie because there should be no problem.

Call them immediately and look for your tracking information.

This is now a matter where if they can't figure out what's going on (They lost it), you will have to call the FBI to figure out where your gun went.

Also, Muzzleloaders are antique guns. A FFL would not be able to even book them in without having problems.

Helo friend. A year ago I ordered an 1851 colt navy from Cabelas. They shipped it to here in los angeles, so I don't think there should be any problem. I was even able to ship it out for an exchange and had another reshipped. No license shenanigans. So long as it has not been exposed to black powder in any way, you can move it around like any other product.

Unless some law has changed affecting these replicas, Cabelas should be good to go. Their customer service was pretty good. I'm not sure if they have that exact model, though.

I wouldn't order anything that expensive without receiving any tracking info.

No you won't. Black powder guns are not considered to be firearms by the feds.

I actually just posted my first bid on Gunsamerica but I don't understand why I can't increase my bid till I meet the "reserve" amount. Didn't even know that was a thing. Anyone have any advice? I'm the only bid at the moment, but I don't meet the hidden reserve amount. I can increase my "maximum bet", but I'm not entirely certain what that does.

Doesn't matter. If Dixie can't find your package and they say it is up to the common carrier who lost it (Because I doubt they would use USPS in this situation), it falls under the FBI's jurisdiction to investigate and find missing/stolen packages. In particular a muzzle loading handgun would be the kind of thing that would be cause for alarm.
