I got a German Tropentarn jacket from the /k/ommando store.

I've purchased from them 4 times now and I never get a dank meme note with my package like other people do ;_;

Ask for one. I live in Canada, and got my package searched at the Quebec border last time because it had shit like "pretending to speak french is quebec national pasttime" and "syrup chugger" written on the outside of the box so I asked for it to be on the inside. I got a sticker with a picture of a naked man in handcuffs with something to the tune of "I hope you don't get raped by customs this time." on the inside.

>>
>>30593909
If you can't handle the weight of a steel framed compact pistol you should probably just not carry.
>>
>>30593895
Very nice, I have a p-07 that i've been wanting to sell for a while, but every time i shoot it, i get the feeling that selling it will be a big mistake and i'll regret it. Its so damn accurate and comfortable to shoot, i struggled too get good groupings at first but after the 500 round mark the I got a good feel for the sights and grip.
>>
>>30593903

Thanks! I does need some decent sights.

>>30593909
>>30593924

It's aluminum framed, but it is indeed heavier than my USPc45. I have a good horsehide gunboat though and a COMPTAC holster, no worries.

>>30593926

Keep it. I had to sell my collection of 15 guns about 5 years ago because of school/work problems, I regret it hard. I'm rebuilding now, and am buying more deliberately. Also, when my gf and I moved in together her policy was "you can buy them, but you can't sell them" due to how depressed I looked when I held some of my old guns at a gun store.
>>
>>30593924
>implying you have a gun to carry
>>30593942
I carried one for 4 years before I decided it was stupid. There are many lighter guns suited for carrying but it's you're decision.
>>
>>30593949
I usually carry a Ultra Carry II (Aluminium frame), or a CZ-83 (Steel Frame), or a Kahr CW-45 (Polymer frame and my least favorite). Thanks for asking :D

I typically like to wear them if I'm in an environment were a lot of dust gets kicked up from muzzle blasts as well as working around helos or a very windy day when dirt and dust gets kicked up. Also snow in the eye sucks innasnow. Typically however I keep them on my helmet and wear my M-frames.

It was my first gun and kind of an impulse buy, as far as carrying the p-01 goes, its about the same size and weight as the p-07, i've carried the p-07 on an owb holster under a jacket comfortably. The weight isn't that bad, I do find the gun needlessly thick across the decocker, another problem I've had was the magazine releasing inside the holster, i think the mag release gets pressed by the holster when I'm sitting down somehow, this has only happened when I'm driving.
>>
>>30594264
I want to get one for my M&P 40 first. Performance Center triggers are actually pretty good, compared to their vanilla trigger.

But my 40 is circa 2007, and it DESPERATELY needs it. Outside of the grit and creep and heaviness, the damn pin keeps getting loose after every 50 rounds or so.

Got my SLR-104 recently, all poly furniture, 5.45x39.

Ordered 5 Bulgarian surplus mags, plus one that came with.

I've planned to replace the poly furniture with wood because muh aesthetics and to replace the stock with a triangle folder. Didn't find it too particularly difficult replacing the guards, as I followed a quick guide. My only minor irritation was that I kinda scratched the locking levers, but I guess it couldn't be helped, those things were on there fucking tight as shit.

My mother's friends husband is a gun guy as well and he too has a 74, and I was able to ask him if he had any furniture lying around he could sell me and sure enough he did. $40 for a whole set (guards, grip and stock, though the grip is poly and the stock is designed for fixed) and he also had a decent surplus of 5.45 ammo he got an auction a while back. Was able to sell me 700 rounds of SB for $0.26 a round, about market value.

Feels breddy gud mang.

I'm almost done with it, just need to get a wooden grip, triangle stock, and of course more ammo. Always more ammo.

My lust for more ammo and those boxes is insatiable.

no, cause i found the gun in his collection (he owns quite a few guns), and the serial # matched the receipt.

>he sys 'which one is this?'
>bring him gun
>the look on his face
>all he says was 'yeah, probably....'
also he doesn't own a hi-power
>>
>>30615384
does your grandpa just chug a fifth and then decide to go gun shopping?
>>
>>30615402
he's old school, no blue book, no trying to get any kind of MSRB price, he just buys guns he likes for prices he's comfortable with (mostly revolvers, milsurp and weird or unusual guns)

he owns a LOT of guns, and this is one of only maybe 3 or 4 that he overpaid for.

i found a receipt from 1964 for an original P08 for 37 bucks, so it goes both ways i guess.
>>
Probably going to get a new Mossberg within a few days. Saw one at Dick's that might actually be a good deal. Going to wait for a few days though because my father is law enforcement and he can get discounts at certain stores.

Mainly hoping to get a gun that has ghost rings and a pistol grip + stock; probably a 535 or a 590.
