and while the all guns, bigass battleship is dead, most likely never to return (i dream up scenarios at night, but that will never happen), but the spitit of having a massive ball of fuck you, that does not have a big flat bit with non ship related activities on top, still lives on.

Rodney, better fire control radar, and 16 inch guns versus 14 inch, that and Rodney was a post ww1 treaty battleship with armor layout benefiting from wartime experience and Fuso was a early ww1 design not benefiting from combat experience.
Rodney had thicker armor of higher quality and better guns

Fusou was the first Japanese post-dreadnought built without foreign help, and it shows. Multiple rebuilds were required just to make her mildly useful. The followup class, Ise, and the Big 7 members Nagato and Mutsu were far better ships.

It's not like BL 15" were bad guns though, just not as powerful as larger and more modern weapons. With good shell design they could still do the job. They also had a pretty good barrel life and reputation for accuracy.
