Midwest NuggetFest will most likely be in October though I have not decided on a State yet. Unfortunately due to scheduling conflicts, we will not be using the same location as the last Midwest NuggetFest. So you guys get to put in your 2 cents on where you want the next Midwest event. Also, Arkadia Ranch is still going down next month. I'm open to suggestions for events. Currently planning, several shooting competitions like speed, distance, skeet/trap, and even archery, because why not.

There is the conservation area that the first one was done at, Plenty of space for pistol, rifle, and trap/skeet. The camping place is a bit small but it worked out just fine. Plus its free IIRC.

Ohio or Kentucky would be my preference.
Either has a lot of very rural area which could be used.
Kentucky has a bit prettier geography but Ohio is flat so lends itself well to ranges.

That's been suggested before, and were it not for the smaller size of the area it might be good. Honestly, we were at about max capacity with just 23 /k/ommandos and a dozen locals the first time around in 2014. Now with NuggetFest average 50-60 attendees, I'm not so sure the range and campground would suffice.
I'll keep the thought in the back of my mind though.

They normally have you pay an annual fee and you need to know someone that's already a member to even gain entrance to it but im sure they would make an exception if the price was right. they have a skeet range, rifle and pistol range.
