Pretty sure real snipers don't plan on getting caught

>>
>>30551860
You say that but command type economies typically have the highest rates of growth, problem is in sustaining that rate of growth. The Chinese managed to do this successfully because of their population expanding at an equivalent rate to their economy. They have almost caught the US in total GDP despite the fact true industrialization has only been going on since the 1950s
>>
>>30553039
The German media reported it using a better word - "Heckenschütze," literally "Hedge Shooter," meaning an "ambusher with a gun" - but we don't have one that works in a similar context in the English language.

>>
>>30553082
Yea not really, most of this growth happened in the 80s when clinton made deals with china making it cheaper to import from them than to make US. The idea was the US and China would both benefit and china would become a US ally.

The Chinese growth is entirely American capitalism, as it was before worker rights.

The command economy elements come into play now, when the Chinese authorities force stock owners to not exchange stocks when the market falls hard.

Uh not really, it was a full city block so that's a decent enough distance. Similar to the way JFK was shot, and that was certainly a sniper attack.

Look at this video of the initial sniper shooting. This is before he left his position on the balcony. The police cars in the street are where the initial officers were shot.

Sure, early on, because they steal every bit of wealth from their own people, and, if possible, from other countries as well (see: eastern Europe).

The Nazis would have wrecked their own economy within another decade or two with their insane mismanagement and high-level backstabbing. The Communists lasted longer, because they stole more wealth and enslaved more foreigners (and held on to them).

Every centralized government, no matter how much it preaches "liberty, equality, fraternity", always devolves into an inefficient quasi-feudal mess, after which, it usually falls. From Chinese Dynasties to modern-day communist "democratic socialist republics" like Best Korea, highly-centralized governments always fail to sustain economic growth on their own past the first generation or two.

sks-m and d models accept ak mags, all others can be modded to accept duckbill mags or higher cap fixed mags.
>>
>>30555579
>how hard is it to replace the fixed magazine on a SKS?
unlatch magazine first.
put the safety on, take screwdriver and press into the base of the rear of the trigger guard until it pops out.
remove fixed magazine.
Replace trigger pack
attatch crapco/aftermarket magazine of your choice.

Its slightly more difficult to change mags on this configuration than an AK or AR however.
You need to pull back on the mag catch with a good ammount of force as opposed to pressing a button or pushing forward on a lever.

SKS isn't an assault weapon so not even close to being on the list. It has a fixed magazine.
>>
>>30555639
>You need to pull back on the mag catch with a good ammount of force as opposed to pressing a button or pushing forward on a lever.
In addition to this the bolt must be locked back, which is a problem with the shittier detachable magazines as they won't do that reliably. Crapco magazines don't have that problem but really aren't that reliable either (I have one of their 20 round magazines and it will cause jams occasionally due to not feeding rounds fast enough if I load it over 10 rounds). Overall I would say that going with the fixed 10 round magazine and getting good at reloading with stripper clips would be more effective than the shitty detachable magazines that require 2 or more hands to swap.
>>

In most video games, you can't hit with irons past 100m because of the poor fov.

Red Orchestra gives you a zoomed view that lets you hit farther (150m). So he thinks it's "RO shit"

What he doesn't know is that the zoomed view in RO is closer to the real life view, so 150m in real life isn't that impressive.

No, would you like to get noscoped again, russki?

The SKS has always been an outstanding rifle with great capability for accuracy, but to consider it a Sniper Rifle...professional snipers will just laugh at you.

>>
>>30566209
Doesn't sks have a longer barrel then akm? Doesn't that help with accuracy
>>
>>30566823
A bit, but both weapons are generally limited by the quality of ammunition generally available. An SKS fed Tulammo will only shoot Tulammo grade accuracy.

Beyond that, it's a semi-auto built with commie mass production grade tolerances. It wasn't meant to be a precision weapon. Just good enough for the proletariat to dump lead towards the imperialists and keep their heads down while the pros flank around. It's good at that, but forcing it into a role it doesn't fit is poorly advised.
>>
>>30566695
You must be out of date, they are no longer targeting merely "assault rifles" (which, as we know, aren't) but semiautomatic rifles in general.
Mainly because the ill-informed zealots don't realize (or don't want to) what semi-automatic means. They think semi-automatic == machine gun.
Then when you point this out, they usually have an emotional fit, babbling irrelevant drivel about the NRA, the current folk demon of the liberal elites.
>>
>>30566884
it baffles me that they think the nra has this mystical power to sway all laws, I mean yeah it has influence and is a lobbying organization but it organizes people who advocate for their own views and represents the views of its own members so it is representing the will of many people.
>>
>>30566209
Careful - All the neckbeards will be posting going 'MUH MOSIN IS A GRAET SNAPER RIFFLE HURR DURR" very soon.

Oh wait they already pretty much have.

>>30555375

Yes, 'any' rifle can be a 'sniper rifle'.

No, no it can't.

If you really think that, try shooting a legitimate sub-moa rifle with match grade ammo, and then go back to trying to group within 4" at 100 yards with your shit-tier bargain 'sniper rifle'. gtfo.
>>
>>30561523
whats gain-twist rifling? Never heard of that before.
>>
>>30567023
The end of the barrel has progressively tighter twist rates than the start.
It's based on the idea that it's easier to start the bullet at a slower twist, then gradually increase it towards the end. So the barrel may start at 1:12, then finish at 1:8. This allows for the effect of a smaller twist with a heavier projectile, which hypothetically means a more accurate rifle when using slow burning powders, as was common in the 30's and 40's.
However, it's expensive to make barrels like that, and accuracy suffers greatly when fudds cut the barrel down to make the ideal deer huntin' rifle. Hence the poor reputation of the Carcano in later years.

In anti-gunner mythology, we millions of gun owners are hoodwinked into opposing noble gun laws laws because the NRA's coffers are filled with cash from the ebil gun companies, which are portrayed as huge companies, like Ford or something.
They don't seem to notice that Bloomerg LLC alone is worth more than the entire US gun industry... let alone all the other billionaires (hi Bill Gates!) funding anti-gun astroturfing groups.

He's a sniper yet he used an assault weapon, that really was a hunting rifle?

Is he a sniper, an assaulter, or a hunter?
>>
>>30567227
yeah I can see that, here in the great state of washington universal background checks laws passed and the side pushing for the laws outfunded nra (or maybe it was goa) contributions something like 4:1 with a donation from bill gates alone plus king bloomberg donated and the usual circus freak show of anti gun outlets chipped in. And the antis still complain about the nra bankrolling pro gun movements. Fortunatly the law did only pass with something like a 2% majority.

Conflicting reports. Concensus is an sks, but that's the mainstream media and they're retarded. The source of it being an AK-74 is one website I've never heard of that posts a picture and info with no source.

I don't know who to believe.

The picture of the AK is next to his body.
