/k/'s thoughts on virtual reality as a potential training tool in the future?
I'd wager that it would be viable in a generation or two of VR systems.

I want some of those VR fuck machines.
I wonder when they'll be able to get it to where you can actually feel your waifu's claws sink into your back while you fuck her.
Anyways I think VR will be a great training supliment

Dude, even just porn made for vr is awesome.
That said, the current displays for VR suck.
>>30536815
really all you'd need is an electrical impulse to trigger your nerves in realtime with the fuck-machine
it'd only be incredibly difficult to code, inconvenient at best to set up, and unsatisfactory to use though

Give it a few years.

that's just an example of a shitty ass game
plenty of others are pretty decent

Sure, If you're a fat Sweaty sack of shit you'll get sweat all over your face, and if you don't want to engage in combat and just sit there jerking your wrist back and forth because lets be honest you've got a lot of experience with that, and you lack the physical fitness to go toe to toe with a skeleton in an actual sword fight.
Sure, then VR is shit.
If you don't use obvious gamebreaking techniques that have arose because it is early level technology the game is quite fun.
Since this game there have been physics advancements that make it so when you swing a sword and it collides with the skeletons shield or Armour it just harmlessly deflects off.
Programmers gotta catch up.
I fucking love Hotdogs, Hand grenades, Horseshoes.
But apart from basic operation of weapons, maybe some skills with aiming, it's not going to be Training level appropriate.
Now, Say in the future you get specific controllers shaped like the weapons you would be using,
Smaller light weight computers that fit in a backpack. VR headmount that attaches to standard helmets.
They could have fully animated Kill houses and scenarios to drill people through.
IED training, Crowd control, All sorts of scenarios, all just in an Empty warehouse or hanger.
They could load whatever situations they could be bothered to program.
But at the moment VR is a fun toy.
Now im going to go shoot zombies.

Id like to see more games come out that arent kiddie arcade games or jump scare "horror"
Id imagine it would be like the house of the dead games, where you hook up a plastic gun as a controller. They could be fake looking or gun companies could get on board and make prop controllers. It would be like Disney infinity where you have to buy different guns to use them. Glocks, berettas, revolvers, ect. for like 10 dollars a piece

to be fair its still a fairly new concept with not a lot of people doing it
remember what the xbox and playstation looked like 10 years ago?

Rainbow Six VR fucking when

The Oculus Touch controllers are definitely better than the Vive Wands.
