So when I was the same age I Had My firework detonate spontaneously less than 3 feet from my heaD. I would strongly caution anyone to mess with fireworks, or easy DIY chemicals you may find on google.
I ended up picking with my ears ringing for a month, picking plastic shrapnel out of my arms and chest for a week, and when it happened I almost went into shock and scared my family half to death.
Explosives should not be legal, and anyone that considers making some should really reconsider how much they enjoy having hands, eyesight, hearing, and possibly being alive at all.
It was a very small amount of the compound, that I had stored for a while and then removed from refrigeration. Because of the delay between making it, and use, and that it must of had some acid remaining in the mixture, it degraded into a less stable compound and about 5 minutes outside of the fridge it detonated. I was lucky that at the moment I was bent over picking something up. If I had been holding the container, as I had been 10 seconds prior to detonation, I would have lost my arm or worse.

Now, if you actually create such munitions without a legitimate civil defense purpose you're breaking the law and when caught will most likely be indefinitely detained, but in the event of a transition to martial law or a foreign invasion there's nothing stopping you from building any number of extremely nasty devices for killing our enemies.
