At least this is kinda realistic as in showing that swords are shit against even the simplest chain-mail armor. I hoped Nippon would also finally start recognizing that fact.

The Chinese, on the other hand, are well aware of the protective value of armor, which is why they also issued maces to their troops as standard side-arms, with every other weapon being designed for armor penetration.
