Groovy time for a movie time, /k/?

The eve of America's birthday so I figured why not have a movie stream celebrating it?
We're starting off with "The Patriot" which should showcase all the weaponry that helped carve out this country.

My movie list is a tentative chronological thing (eras in american history) but given time and suggestions, and just general feel (can't all be super serious) will change.
Most are dealing with wars though.

Anyway, come check it out maybe.

The Patriot
The Alamo

We Were Soldiers
Red Dawn
Apollo 13
Mighty Ducks: D2
Top Gun
Patton
Air Force One

Dude America's actual birthday was yesterday.

You guys call yourselves patriots...

Google
>declaration of independence signed
You don't even have to click a link. Google gives you a little box telling you straight up that you fucked up.
>>

Yeah yeah I know. Signed on the 2nd but wasn't actually put into effect until the 4th.

Either way, I'm doing it tonight and into tomorrow morning because I have a day off and right now i'm watching Mel Gibson kill redcoats with muskets and an axe.

Ah no shit, well, don't I look dumb.
Here I was thinking I was taught wrong the whole time. I guess it was only half wrong. Went into effect on the 4th, which would have been the date we declared our independence from the Brits. (Legally speaking.)

I can't help but hold a spot in my heart for the 2nd now, though. Even if it's just raising a glass of whiskey to fucking nothing.

Whatever happened to marching bands in war?
nobody wants buffs from bards anymore?
>>
>>30492733
No need for marching bands for morale when your local motor pool has an HMMV with speakers loud enough to blast Iron Maiden and Pantera loud enough for the shitskins to hear a half a klik away.
>>
"April Morning" One of the best IMHO.
>>

The Patriot got a lot of hate, but I liked it a lot.

Also check out the show Turn, it's pretty fucking good.

The patriot was a long and drama filled movie.
I wonder how much it would cost to get a replica muzzle loader that is period accurate.

Anywya, Team America World Police on now.
Then we'll do another war movie. Hopefully WW1 or something.

Bump for a non-CGI tank battle with upwards of a thousand people and a couple dozen tanks on screen at any given time. Get your asses in here.
