Here, get this kit, it comes with a chf chrome lined barrel from FN. Everything is milspec http://palmettostatearmory.com/psa-16-carbine-length-chf-m4-5-56-1-7-rifle-kit.html
Then go to your local gun store, get you a Anderson ar15 lower for 40 bucks. Then order this rear sight from magpul. https://www.magpul.com/products/mbus-sight-rear boom, complete milspec ar15 with a nice barrel from FN for 600 dollarydoos. If you have any more money though, get an aftermarket trigger, I recommend this one, best bang for your buck. http://algdefense.com/alg-combat-trigger-act.html
Any PSA rifle kit of your choice (NOT PTAC) and then a stripped lower + mags & ammo

This anon nailed it, but I would like to add,
Get on PSA's mailing list. They have daily deals and sometimes they are substantial. They have USGI mags on sale all the time for like $8
>>30485934
This barrel's twist is 1:9 and the trend lately has been to move to 1:7 for self defense loads and green tip and shit. If you're just going to plink with 55gr then its fine.

its a pile of mediocrity but its a cheap pile of mediocrity. the psa at the same price lack the bcg and charging handle. really depends on how many corners ops willing to cut to meet a price point
>>30486102
Is there a big enough difference between the barrels to affect the different bullets substantially?
>>30486145
I'm not really qualified to answer that and it depends on a lot of factors, including how accurately you can shoot it.
>>30486145
considering you will shoot tula or wolf since you are poor twist rate wont matter
>>30486044
But m-muh mid length is better!
I actually might buy one too. Have AKs coming out my ears, but never had an AR. Op I'm glad you post this thread

The make nice rifles for a decent price, what's not to like? Granted, shipping times are horrible, but I'm more than willing to wait weeks for my stuff at their prices.
>>30485947
Not OP, but who makes some slightly higher then PSA tier stuff? I don't want to go full Noveske here, but I've heard PSA is always pretty meh tier.

Check out aero precision, or bcm.

If I wanted to put a scope on the gun, how noticeable would the front sight be?
I always thought of that post like it would get in the way or something, so I've wanted a gun I could put all flip up irons on.
http://palmettostatearmory.com/psa-16-midlength-5-56-nato-1-7-melonite-acs-l-rifle-kit.html
Is this a good kit? How is Midlength on a 16 inch barrel, I though they typically used carbine on that size.
How is having a fixed front sight? Would it get in the way if I used optics?
Also other than magazines, a receiver and a rear sight, would I need to buy something else to put this together?
Check out scratch and blem deals on bravocompanyUSA's website
PSA is fucking gay
