Get out of KKKalifornia before they build a Berlin Wall at the border to keep taxpayers from leaving.

Confiscation means no grandfathering dummy. What a registered assault weapon means is still to be decided but it will probably mean pistol grip, flash hider and a removable magazine which may or may not allow a standard magazine release. Either way this is not something you want to do as the wording for registration makes it seem like it's just a first step towards confiscation.

Says exactly what is and isn't an AW under AB1135.

If you are familiar with the feature/featureless flowchart, this shouldn't be anything new. Key point is that they changed the definition of fixed mag to not simply be "tool-required" rather requiring one to disassemble the action, hence why BBs no longer work.

yes you have to register your AW feature ARs, since a bullet button no longer satisfies the exemption. the law now includes fixed magazines that take a tool to remove, and treats them like detachable magazines. you have until Jan 1 2018 to register, but you must have possessed the rifle by Dec 31, 2016 (the end of this year) to be eligible to register it.

Yep. im in Utah and everything is pretty damn gud here atm. Only some minor ammunition Regulations to prevent Wildfires.

>Tracer, HE & Incendiary ammunition banned from shooting anywhere except military designated Firing ranges. Can still own this ammo, but cant use.
>Steel core, jacketed, or tipped ammunition banned from shooting outdoors during the months of... July and august? Can use indoors still. assuming the range allows it.

Other than those two things everything is good. Nothing in Utah is outright banned.

Even with knives, Switchblades and Balisongs are perfectly legal to own and carry, but if its a "weapon" it must be visible unless you have a CC license.
Few years ago we did have some issues with police Harassing Open carriers...Citing them with "Causing a disturbance: or something similar but that was struck down.

Ah, Some interesting regulation for hunting or OCing rifles or the like in the wild... Can ONLY hunt with expanding ammunition and the weapon must be kept in a state where it is not able to fire immediately (Nothing in the chamber, or in the case of nugget, Safety on could be allowed)
>>
>>30472454

This is the worst part about modern US politics, there's this weird doublespeak with all the typical adjectives, where the words have their "real", classic meaning, and the words have their "modern", hyperbolic meaning.

You can't even discuss the issues without wasting 20 minutes figuring out a common definition to use for "liberal", "conservative", "moderate", and all the rest.
>>
>>30472432
Also to all the people asking, no one knows yet what the plans or specifics are, the faggots left those details out of the law and gave the power to the DOJ etc to have to figure that out still
>>
>>30472494
That's how they avoid real discussion. Just get people to argue about definitions of words and nobody will ever be able to discuss their real worries.
>>

>>
>>30472033

well then you havent read. the law specifically does away with the legality of a bullet button on a centerfire rifle with pistol grip, flash hider, etc. read again or risk becoming a felon
>>
>>30472529
>This bill would revise this definition of “assault weapon” to mean a semiautomatic centerfire rifle, rifle or a semiautomatic pistol that does not have a fixed magazine but has any one of those specified attributes. The bill would also define “fixed magazine” to mean an ammunition feeding device contained in, or permanently attached to, a firearm in such a manner that the device cannot be removed without disassembly of the firearm action.

on a bullet button rifle, you can remove your magazine without disassembling the action. this law was made specifically to outlaw the bullet button 'loophole' .

https://leginfo.legislature.ca.gov/faces/billNavClient.xhtml?bill_id=201520160SB1446

>>30471580
It doesn't.

I tried my hand at reading comprehension for all of you:

Six new laws infringing upon the natural right of self defense and self determination were signed into effect today. The once great state of California has taken yet another step in the direction of an Orwellian authoritarian government. If a total monopoly on the means of coercive force is held by the state, then it is impossible for the state to exists by the true consent of the governed.

It should be considered that since the 90's firearms homicides have been steadily declining in this country. When our government passes laws, it is important that we ask why, as opposed to asking why not. There is obviously a gun control agenda, and it is increasingly dubious as to whether its primary concern is the safety and lives of citizens, or the disarmament and political disenfranchisement of the population.

Senate Bill 1235 requires individuals to submit to a background check and be entered into a state database in order to purchase ammunition. Sellers of ammunition will be required to hold an ammunition vendor's license. All transfers of ammunition will be required to be recorded by the license holder with the purchaser's name, address, and phone number. This creates a statewide registry of citizens who have bought ammunition legally.

Senate Bill 1446 Is an outright ban on the possession of firearm magazines with capacities greater than 10 rounds. There is no clause for grandfathering in magazines acquired before the ban. The law reads :
1) Remove the large-capacity magazine from the state.
(2) Prior to July 1, 2017, sell the large-capacity magazine to a licensed firearms dealer.
(3) Destroy the large-capacity magazine.
(4) Surrender the large-capacity magazine to a law enforcement agency for destruction.

Senate Bill 880 and Assembly Bill 1135 expand the state's legal definition of "assault rifle" to include rifles with detachable magazines which are released by the actuation of a "bullet button". A "bullet button" is a specially designed magazine release which requires a small tool to actuate. This expansion bans the unregistered possession of rifles with such specially designed magazine releases. This expansion broadens the scope of the "assault rifle" registry to now include rifles which have devices specifically designed and installed to prevent the expedient reloading of magazines. It should be noted that rifles of all types kill fewer than 500 U.S. citizens each year, while Influenza kills on average 30,000 people annually.

Assembly Bill 1511 criminalizes the lending of a firearm to any individual other than immediate family. Loans are restricted to 30 days in duration and must be infrequent and without regularity. It should be noted that the state of California already bans private sales/transfers of firearms between individuals. All firearms transfers must go through a federally licensed dealer, and as such the vast majority of firearms of all types in California are recorded in a state database along with the personal information of the transferer and transferee. AB 1511 along with the previously instated ban on private sales ensures that the government knows who possesses which firearms at all times.

Assembly Bill 1695 codifies and criminalizes the false reporting of stolen firearms as particular class of misdemeanor which will preclude those convicted from legally purchasing firearms for 10 years after the conviction. It should be noted that precedent and current federal law only disbars citizens from legally purchasing firearms if the individual is a convicted felon.

I'm doing my best to sift through the code, but it seems that the recording of the purchaser's information will be required starting January 1st 2019. Licensed ammunition vendors will be required to keep records of all transfers of ammunition just like FFLs do with firearm transfers.

Starting January 1st 2018 ammunition may only be sold by licensed ammunition vendors.

Applications for ammunition vendor licenses will begin July 1st 2017.

It appears the background checks will begin to be required January 1st of 2018.

Please do not take my assessment as fact. I am not a lawyer and this bill is rather difficult to read.

2 years may seem like a long time, but I'm sure that is simply the fastest that the new administration and bureaucracy could take form. They aren't giving us "time" to adjust. Two years is the fastest they can adjust.
>>

lots of milsurp shooters or oddball caliber shooters will be fucked. it just got exorbitantly more expensive to shoot uncommon rounds, because now you have to pay for the fees and background checks and taxes of having the ammo shipped to a CA approved ammo vendor.

which in of itself, remains to be seen how that will work out. i dont know of any gunstore who wants the hassle of getting deliveries of ammo for private sales, and stocking/keeping those boxes of ammo where? when you own a business, you are paying rent for real estate. how are they going to store/keep safe ammo from hundreds of random people who order it online?

califags should be happy about the AR law desu. it basically just gives you a chance to sign up for the registered un-neutered assault weapon registry again. so all the people who missed it back in 2001 can get on the boat again and have un-cucked ARs (granted you gotta carry your papers around with you, but its better than not having an uncucked AR)

and the beauty is, if you still want your un-registered cuck-AR, you can still do it with top break.

The new definition of assault weapon includes semiautomatic pistols with detachable magazines. WTF?
>>
>>30473667
What the fuck, really? Link please.
>>
>>30473572
but with regards to ARs, this isnt an infringement. thats what im trying to say. this is basically like reopening the grace period of allowing for registered, un-neutered ARs

you havent functionally lost anything with regards to shooting or owning ar15s here. off list lowers are still legal, and there are other mag lock methods that allow them to legally be built up into AR15s. but now you have the option of registering some if you want to rock it without a maglock. which is nice, considered the last time people had this opportunity was 15 years ago

>califags should be happy about the AR law desu. it basically just gives you a chance to sign up for the registered un-neutered assault weapon registry again. so all the people who missed it back in 2001 can get on the boat again and have un-cucked ARs (granted you gotta carry your papers around with you, but its better than not having an uncucked AR)
We don't inherit our country from our fathers, we borrow it from our children. They deserve the right to AR-15s as well.
>>
>>30473680
and they havent lost a damn thing. honestly do you faggots read any of the laws from primary sources or just regurgitate what each other 18 year old non-cali fag is saying because they saw it on msnbc?

let me state that again

AR15s are not banned!!!!!!

you can still have them maglocked with your 10 round cuckmag without registration!!!!!!!!!!!

only now, you can register one or more if you choose, and ditch the lock

do you understand now?

A semiautomatic pistol with a detachable magazine only if it has one of the following
(A) A threaded barrel, capable of accepting a flash suppressor, forward handgrip, or silencer.
(B) A second handgrip.
(C) A shroud that is attached to, or partially or completely encircles, the barrel that allows the bearer to fire the weapon without burning the bearer’s hand, except a slide that encloses the barrel.
(D) The capacity to accept a detachable magazine at some location outside of the pistol grip.

which is how it was before.

"Legal" as in, not going full 1776.

Hello FBI. No, I am not advocating for such a thing, nor do I want that to happen. Enjoy your coffee.
>>
>>30473711
Okay, so it's blocking AK pistols and the like. Not surprising.
>>
>>30473704
>>30473680
only now, bullet buttons are illegal. so the method of mag locking has reverted to top break set screw locks.

this is the only change

stop panicking and fight to take our rights back instead. donate to SAF so they can challenge the ammo laws and fucktarded mag ban too. and maybe someday down the road get us our regular ar15s back without requiring PAPIERE JUDEN

how the fuck do you faggots pass school? do they teach reading in school? that was literally already the law since year 2000
>>
>>30473704
They haven't lost a damn thing? Is being forced to gimp your rifle not a loss? AR-15s as designed and intended to be used by their creator will not exist after everyone who is over 18 this year dies. Hell I could make the same argument about how we should be able to have M4/M16, but the same cuckish mindset in the 80s got those effectively banned for all future generations unless you have 30k to drop.
>>
>>30473723
It's the same as its been since 2000. The only change in the definition of assault weapons is the redefinition of detachable magazine.
>>
>>30473750
>>30473750
what im saying is we havent lost a damn thing today, compared with what we had yesterday. our rifles were already gimped since January 1, 2000

if anything, we gained the ability to ungimp our AR15s at the cost of registration. so having that option, is more of a gain really.
>>
>>30471899
>If you are familiar with the feature/featureless flowchart, this shouldn't be anything new. Key point is that they changed the definition of fixed mag to not simply be "tool-required" rather requiring one to disassemble the action, hence why BBs no longer work.

yay my featureless wont need to be registered fuck them
>>
>>30471258
not if you vote for stupid communist cuck dems like the rest of Cali, you're not. We have enough of those idiots moving here. Us smart people fled CA in the 90's.

exactly. you have the option to still own a tranny AR and keep it unregistered.

>only now, you can register one or more if you choose, and ditch the lock
Wrong. The registry for BB salt weapons is different from the 1989 salt weapons registry. They are creating a new registry, not opening the old one. So any new ones registered will have to remain in their BB state but will be able to use 30 round magazines (which are all illegal now) because doing so makes a BB rifle a salt weapon. So far they haven't made double salt weapons more illegal.
>>
>>30473878
you can just change your bullet button to a maglock like a setscrew that requires breaking the action open
>>
>>30473884
wrong, there is nothing in the law saying there needs to be a BB left on your rifle, the law just names "assault weapons", it does not distinguish between their characteristics
>>
>>30471759
>my "they" does no such thing currently

If by smart you mean people with money, a job waiting for them, and/or no family members that need to be taken care of.

What AR? I experienced a tragic deep sea fishing accident involving some chop and it fell overboard. I'm just glad Jaws didn't decide to make an appearance while I was completely disarmed

#Ban assault waves now
>>
>>30473678
This IS an infringement you mouth breathing needle dicked cum guzzling semen demon.

Also you DON'T get uncucked AR's. You can register only the cucked bullet button ARs. And need to carry papers with you. And if they find you with the uncucked AR even with papers, you're going to get boned because no bullet button.

Jesus, you are retarded. I mean, a statist boot licker too. But you have to be retarded to be a statist boot licker. So you're basically a double retard.
>>
>>30473704
You know m8, you really only need 1 testicle in order to reproduce. Not that anyone here is recommending that you do so, we strongly advise against you spreading your defective genes.

No one NEEDS a high capacity ball sack with two testicles, you only NEED one. So we're going to confiscate that other testicle for the good of the chilluns and such. And make sure that you register the remaining testicle.

And no, you can't ditch the bullet button you fuckign mongoloid. You can KEEP your butchered AR with the bullet button if you register it. You will need to keep papers with it, and if you get caught without the bullet button, you're going to get reamed.

Do you understand now?
>>
>>30474939
once its a registered assault weapon you can do whatever the fuck you want with it except full auto
or at least thats how it was with the old raw. no idea on the new raws
