Got a Ruger 44 Carbine today. Serial puts it as a 1981 manufacture, pretty good condition. Put 10 through it and it's nice and smooth. Gunbroker puts people's asks at $600-700 for a similar one, did I do good or is that just GB inflating prices like always?

Needs to be reblued

Receiver too, chips below it are the only damage to the stock

Good, sharp rifling. No pitting that I could see.

Bonus, serial is devil's trips

Forgot to note, got it for $400.

Not bad OP. Uncle has one and it makes a mighty nice hog rifle for sure. $400 is kinda up there but otherwise not bad. Hope you enjoy it

That's what I figured, I vaguely remembered $400 being toward the high end on gunbroker when I first saw it a few months ago. Didn't know how much of the current price was panic buying or gouging.

Nice. Mine was $400. Showed it to a friend and told him what I paid for it.
>$400 for a 10/22?
Good buy, Anon. Fun little guns.

Oddly, that was what got my attention. It was on a rack, looking all the world like a 10/22, with a $400 tag on it. Had a TIL moment that day.
The last two I saw IRL were close to $2k, both NIB, one man fed and one tube.
