Backpage. Local guy was getting deployed and needed cash fast, I think he had some leech of a gf he was trying to get hitched to as well. I flashed 900 bucks in his face and he handed me the rifle brand new in the box. I didn't even want one but couldn't pass it up. I was skeptical that maybe it was broke or something, but it shoots great and has around 1000 rounds through it. It's among the least used rifle I have though.

I got one of these as my second rifle purchase- wanting to be a special snowflake and I totally regret it
Pros:
balance
form factor
uses STANAG Magazines
reliable (1000+ rds no malfunctions so far)
Cons:
Price- the SAR21 (the older one- not the new x95) is a complete rip off and requires at least ~400 extra shekels to make as functional as a cheapo AR
250 + 90 (lightning bow) Trigger (the standard trigger is heavy and mushy- the standard ar milspec trigger in a 50 dollar parts kit is lightyears ahead of this)
100+ for a usable front rail and mounting system that isnt shit (the included 2 oclock rail is shit) for lights and stuff
Heavier than an AR
Hard to shoot- the ergos are strange and the recoil of the rifle is pretty strange without using the recommended "israeli stance" and centered (this in itself is extremely awkward).
holding it like a normal rifle creates a really pronounced oval shaped muzzle sway
I personally suck with it and haven't ever grouped better than 4 MOA with it FROM A BENCH,
something about the way it pivots makes it super easy to pull a shot.
I know for a fact these guns are mechanically pretty accurate but its just difficult as hell to shoot.
tl;dr: unless you are in a situation where you can practice a lot of <100 shooting in close quarters where the form factor really shines- this won't do anything better than a run of the mill 700 dollar AR.

I don't have an issue with the trigger. Rifle is very ergonomical, it points naturally as a mother fucker. It's an excellent close combat rifle, great for small spaces. It's not an AR and it was never intented to produce tight groups. It's well balanced. I can shoot it with one hand, there is barely any perceptible recoil.
