Can /k/ tell me how much this is worth its a Stevens single shot 20ga is all I know kind of beat up this guy is trying to sell me it for $125 whats it worth???

It's a single shot shotgun. They cost around 100$ new.

If possible go out and shoot it to make sure it functions correctly. Sometimes ejectors/extractors jam up. Rust happens. Also it's an older gun so it might have a 2 3/4" chamber instead of 3" (which lets you shoot a wider variety of shells). Most modern shotguns have 3" chambers.

It'll specify on the barrel. Either way 80 bucks, maybe 100 if you try it out and it works fine. Meet him at a range.

Look, it sounds like you've convinced yourself that you want it. In that case, as long as the gun works (probably does) then you'll be happy with it, even if you overpay by ~40 bucks or so. Recognize that it isn't worth much as a gun or as an antique, but it still shoots 3/4-1oz of whatever you can pack in a 20gauge hull and that's always useful. You can even do an 18" barrel cut and have a fun mini blaster.
