No, but I like the Armata and also Leclerc/Type 10 type of tanks sorta since they're not as heavy as inferior abrams/leos, plus that superior modular armor tho.

Yeah, that did create a big problem: no hatch for the driver! So unless there was a floor hatch (is there?) he'd have to exit through the turret.

Of course, it's compact size was due to being derived from the KV-13, an attempt at a compromise between KV-1 and T-34

I understand that, it looks nice. I just love how crafted they look. Even if in the end it caused problems for field repair, they were finely crafted and made to maximize the efficiency of the crew. For a nation with manpower and resource shortages I can somewhat understand this approach.
In terms of looks, I'd rate WW2 vehicles like this:
Germany > Britain > US > France > Italy > USSR > Japan
>>
>>30448252
Much like the IS-3, Tiger II looks much smaller when there's someone in the hatch.

I like the KV-2, in a "It's ugly, in a good way" type. Otherwise, the BT series is pretty neato. Same with the Su-85/100 and then all their armored cars.

Only 2 built. 1 with turret. Apparently the transmission was shit and the engine was way underpowered for the weight of the vehicle. Mostly cause they used spare Tiger parts or soemthing like that. I don't think they properly built up the prototype before the war ended

No, but the Japs did use German stuff.

Including German stuff that was sold to the Chinese, and then captured by the Japanese.

I'm curious as to what the expected life-span of someone using captured equipment was. Even through they're marked, it might be hard to see from a distance and might be mistaken for friendly fire or something.

WIP food for thought sort of afternoon made this.

None of the stresses would hold up so it's a light tank or tankette at best if it works.

Still need to figure out:
>leg patterns to springs inside each "leg wall" to determine how thick they should be
>diameter strength required from the wheels >what spring system to use above the wheels that are mounted on the upper chassis to keep a firm planted "leg" on each side
>true diameter of the chassis itself
>internals pattern for everything that goes inside a tank

Main benefits would be that a hit from the side wouldn't immobilize the vehicle if it would normally hit a track wheel or the tracks of a standard tank. This thing would need another 8 sets of wheels and "legs" to not vibrate so much.

The gun idea is probably dumb but a shot at elevating so high it can shoot at aircraft not directly overhead.

I was bored.
