I don't like spending a lot of money on guns.

The most expensive one I have is probably my CZ SP01 Shadow. In paid 1200 for it when it first came out.

In today's money? A Chinese AK with a bunch of original matching accessories and multiple sets of furniture that came with the rifle. I've been offered $1500-$1800 for it all on multiple occasions but I don't want to sell it because it was my dad's, it was the gun I learned to shoot on, and was handed down to me as a wedding present (and he bought the rifle NIB with all the accessories and 1000 rounds of Chicom ammo for $350)

The most that I paid for one? I paid $1200 for my StG-58, but if include the cost of gun+mags+optics+accessories+ammo I've got around $3k in my SLR104 and 5.45 in general.

>>
>>30432400
More like in order to make their orders not have a 2 year lead time they had to reduce time spent per gun. Either that they no longer want to guarantee accuracy because people are retarded and would blame the gun instead of themselves for being a poor shot.

Nigga the rifles have gotten worse. You said it yourself. I am not doubting gap has nice rifles but you are buying a precision gas gun for accuracy. How accurate it is, which is its major selling point, is how you would gauge the quality if it. Accuracy goes down => quality goes down => control of the quality of rifles leaving the factory has dropped.

>>30432591
That is only true for the GAP-10, none of their other offerings have had their accuracy rating downgraded. George had posted on snipershide saying that it was due to changing who they source parts from and because people get mad when they cant outshoot their rifle.

Your moving the goal posts now. We were only talking about the gap-10. Which is so their flagship gun. The question was "why not buy a GAP-10 instead of an SR-25"
>>
>>30432677
Well you said their QC went down and I pointed out that only the guarantee for one rifle was downgraded and from the owners own mouth it was due to changing parts manufactures and to have people call him less bitching about their inability to shoot.

I dont think the GAP-10 is their flagship gun, rather that would be rifles built on their Templar II action.

The vepr12 if we're going by what I paid for it, nearly 1400 the second they were imported, but I had it a solid year before most people.
The vepr1v if we go by what things are worth now, since they disappeared from the market and doubled in price the second the ukraine sanctions started. The psl is catching up to it in price though.
>>
I built an AR with a total all in price of $4200. Most expensive by far.
>>
Dunno. I inherited some old stuff recently. The Colt Diamondback is fairly valuable. Probably my grandfather's hunting guns are as well.

How much do these run? I'm not big on tacticool ARs but that would be sexy in black.

Somewhere around $5000-$6000 for the gun, easily up to $10,000 with all the extraneous bullshit I've bought for it.

It's a nice rifle. I like it purely for the entertainment value mostly. Haven't tried shooting any real distance with it yet 500 yards max. I'd like to really try some longer distance stuff with it but ranges for that a a bit tough to come by. Plus shooting distance isn't anymore fun than shooting holes in things.

Do you mean a cheap shotgun can't do those things? Because you'd be pretty wrong. As the other anon said, there isn't anything a 3k+ shotgun can do that a cheap one couldn't. Shotguns are far from precision instruments. High price shotguns fall under veblen goods along with diamonds, jewelry, Bentley etc.
