Anyone in GA know a good spot in the national forest to shoot at that's secluded. I want to host a meet up there since the north GA boys never get one close. Could do a range but just going deep innawoods sounds more fun.

His turf is more South Georgia. He'll collaborate with a North Georgia meetup, but it isn't what I'd call his turf.
I feel like taking out a loan, buying land somewhere north of metro atlanta, and setting up a few copies of Hickok45's home range. Then running it as a club to support my self and pay off the loan. Maybe have a copy of a US Army pop up target M16 qualification range.
Just so northern Georgia has a place to shoot rifles at rifle distances.

i started that georgia stalker thread. here is an overlay of the current road map and the previous map for the underground nuclear test facility in dawson forest. there is a tunnel that some anon dug near one of the buildings that will let you in. im not sure who the anon was.

Went to check on the hole a few weeks ago. It's filled with boulders and barbed wire now. Tried to dig it out but we couldn't get around it all
Im working on the waivers for the meetup and will be sending it out soon. Please bring a signed copy with you to the check in table. Ill be riding to the event with my mom and aunt. They will be helping with the setup, registration and security. The important thing to remember is that any guns brought to the meet will be given to a safety officer for storage. My aunt and her state police boyfriend will be providing this service as all as being range officers.
When you want to shoot, just come to the security booth and check out the gun. An range officer wil escort you to the firing line.
Please keep 5 seconds between shots. No rapid fire.
I look forward to meeting you all. I wil be brining smores supplies (marshmellow, gram cracker, chocolate bar) so if you want to bring food to share that’s cool. Maybe weeners or hamborgs.

They're actually very reasonable, I think.
Basically don't shoot over roads or water, pick up your trash, and stay 200y away from anything manmade and you're fine.
If you want to drive all the way out to valdosta there is a 500 yard rifle range, and a 50 yard pistol range, all steel targets on both.

About halfway up that little road it becomes impassible except by vehicles with offroad capability, and it was very mountain-y, so hard to traverse.

Where in the fuck is there a place to shoot outdoors up here north of Atlanta? I'm in Cumming and the only place is river bend which is impossible to get into and the indoor 100yd range near mall of georgia.

Dawson Forest.
There's a private range in Pickens County and one near Toccoa.
Several small indoor ranges in Cherokee and Cobb Counties, but I don't know if any outdoor ranges.

You cannot legally target shoot in the WMA. Wilson Shoals WMA has an outdoor range but takes an hour to get to from Cumming.
