I just bought my first AR. Having been an AK guy for many years, I'll admit I know jack shit about ARs.

Should I get a 1-point, 2-point, or 3-point sling? I'd prefer to have something that's comfortable for long hikes innawoods

I bought a mag tactical lower for cheap. $25 on the spot. I didn't know anything about them. However I've recently read some bad things about them. So now I'm just going to save it for a rainy day and get another lower.

What's the sexiest stripped lower in /arg/s opinion. I'm really liking the BAD forged.

Coincidentally while I was outside doing this one of my neighbors came outside. She was wearing her bikini because she was about to sunbathe. She hollered hello and we exchanged pleasantries, talked about the nice weather, and she asked what I was painting, I replied that it was just some metal parts for a project. She said "cool" and then sprawled out. Then I finished painting my rifle while watching her sunbathe like a creep.

Today was a good day.

Yeah but the real key dimension is the depth of the part that interfaces with the upper receiver rather than the exact dimensions of the tabs on the rail (see pic, me trying to figure it out)

Sperging out a little bit on this but want to make sure I've done my homework.

This was a custom short run billet upper so there's no way to look up previous ppl's experiences

yeah but then he posted his receiver dimension 0.9

basically a statement that if the tabs are closer together than 0.9 it wont fit on his upper.

so at this point that dimension takes priority. i wasn't even being a dick, just tellin him to pull all that shit out again since the guy asking for the dimensions is so close to figuring out whether or not the rail will fit his upper and the guy WITH the rail is like "welp sorry i put it all away"

yeah, there seems to be a lot of variation in ddc, from dark choco to light bronze color.

and i found a pic of my mk2 rail, i got it when they just came out.
funny thing about geissele rails, it seems like every few months, they would come out with some minor change. like one month, there would be new cutouts, or qd cups, or different screws, etc.. I think they have it all down now though.
