Hello gentlemen,

I will buy my first gun very soon and I have 4 handguns in mind.

I would like to have your opinion with these ones over here.
Wich is better for daily carry?
>>
>>30395282

anything but that bersa
>>
>>30395282
You should get a rifle first
Of those Glock 19
>>
>>30395282
>Wich is better for daily carry?

The Shield. It's the smallest and lightest.

The G19 or P320 would be a better general-purpose pistol, but the Shield is the best dedicated carry gun. If you don't wear skintight clothing you should be able to carry a G19 or P320 just fine though.

The Bersa is neat but I wouldn't recommend one as a carry gun. Good luck finding a holster, plus it's pretty big.
>>
>>30395282
For carry? Shield, because single stack. That's not to be taken as "best in all cases" though, because capacity.
>>
>>30395318
Oh, noticed you said it would be your first gun altogether. I say definitely get the Glock or SIG then. They'll be much easier to shoot and learn with, and will be better for home defense.

Just get a good gunbelt and holster. If you use shitty gear you won't be able to comfortably conceal anything, even a Shield.
>>
>>30395282
You should really read the sticky if it's your first gun. Between these I'd pick the sig though. Although a gen 3 glock might come above that if the price is right.
>>
You could always buy a subcompact frame for the P320. From internet videos, it doesn't seem like switching frames takes that much time.
>>
>>30395282
of those four, you should pick the FNS-9c
>>
>>30395282

For daily Carry, The Shield wins.

There's almost no situation where you could not CCW a Shield.

It's plenty shootable, and there are tons of holsters, aftermarket, Magguts +1 followers, lights/lasers, Apex triggers, etc.

It's an insanely popular CCW for a reason.
>>
glock 19 gen4. unlike the other guns, itll hold its value well into the future. its enormous success also ensures factory and aftermakret parts as well as a large community of fellow 19 shooters.
>>
>>30395342
>>30395307
>>30395339
Bersa is out of the list now, I tried a couple of times and I loved the trigger but now that you mencion it, is pretty big...

The shield have that little issue of being single stack and well 7+1 is not a good amount of rounds; I believe that the minimun would be 12 rounds.

Glock and Sig appear to be the best choices right now.
>>
>>30395459
If you'd like a minimum of 12 rounds, have you thought about the M&P9C or FNS9C? They'll be easier to shoot than the Shield but offer a higher capacity and almost as much concealability.
>>
>>30395459

ever looked into the walther pps? not really more capacity but very concealable and nice gun
>>
Of those four, I recommend the shield.

Outside of them, get a glock g30s in .45. My buddy carries it and he swears by it. I wish I could recommend MY carry gun, but Bersa BP9s are too niche. no aftermarket. I bought a spare mag, fucker cost 57 dollars.
>>
>>30395370
I wish, I live in a 3rd world country were the FNS are banned for some reason.

>>30395367
For the P320 I would go with a "carry" one 17 rounds it's a nice number.

>>30395406
I personally love this gun but I don't want to go like a fanboy just because i like it... I need to know if it's reliable as a Sig or a S&W.

>>30395400
you have a point plus dubs

For daily carry, hands down the Shield. For shootability, the P320. If I were you, I would get the P320 for four things
>good crisp trigger
>good ergos
>tritium sights
>ability to have both a range gun and conceal carry sized gun while only having one gun at the same time keeping the trigger pull consistency

Another good thing to do is get a shield first and bump up in size if you feel like you can comfortably carry something bigger.

The Bersa is the only gun you can go wrong with.
>>
>>30395282
I carry the sig p320 currently, and was on a similar predicament when deciding, just go and feel out the glock and sig.

The sig in my opinion has the better trigger and the modular nature is a huge bonus. The lack of a safety is kinda scary to some people though, but it's just as reliable as a glock. It's carnikcon proof.

The flock is better known, just as reliable, if not more so, has decent controls and adjustable backstrap as well as a safety, but the trigger isn't as smooth as the sig.

Thank you very much for all the advices.
>>
>>30395704
>The lack of a safety is kinda scary to some people though

The glock style safeties are useless anyways. I doubt the lack of a trigger safety is a concern to anyone who is already invested in carrying a striker gun in the first place.
>>
>>30395904
Glock's trigger safety is just an additional drop safety. The P320's trigger is small and skeletonized (at least in the back) enough that I don't think it has enough mass to be pulled by inertia if you drop the pistol on its rear. I could be wrong though.

>Glock 19
>Need to know if it's reliable
Nigger you what. The G17/19 are the standard by which guns like the P320 and M&P series are judged.
>>
>>30395282
Get the 19, get good with it. It's a jack of all trades and will do anything you could ever ask from it. Once you're proficient with it, you can look at other guns with a much better understanding of what else you might like more than the Glock 19.
>>
>>30397398
I thought that was a FNX?

I've handled the FNP 9 and FNP 45. Good handguns, decent trigger and good ergos. I just don't like the slide release on the thing.
>>
>>30397434
Thank you sir. I asked because I can get one for $379, seems like a good deal to me.
>>
>>30395282
I would recommend Shield or SIG for daily carry.
Test fire them first if you can before you buy.
Mehhhhh Bersa and never liked the feel of Glocks myself and that's a pretty chunky pistol to conceal.
>>
>>30395282
Glock 19
>>
>>30395904
My point was mainly some people get scared of carrying without a safety, even though there's no need to be. The flock safety, while kinda pointless is still a safety.

>>30395924
You are correct in your statement.
>>
>>30395282
out of those, the shield is best for carry
>>
>>30397938

Shield or glock. Size on shield, simplicity of glock 19. Why not glock 26?
>>
>>30395459
Bersa fan here.

Not sure why all the hate for it. Had a .320 for nearly 20 years and it was my main sidearm. Hollow points for home protection meant I could put someone down, but the round would likely not go through a wall and hit someone else.

I hear you about capacity, but seriously if you cant put em down in 7, you have no business with a gun.

Also, it is super easy to use, aim is good, cleaning is easy and after 2500 rounds (or more) no oticeable wear or damage.

I sold it to the mayor of a small town last summer and wish I hadnt, but they only run $200 ish so I'll get another.

Most importantly, its not what other people tell you to buy, it what feels good in your hand.

YOU WERE GIVEN 4 FUCKING CHOICES.
>>
>>30395459
If you like the bersa but size is an isue, look at the Bersa Ultra Compact 9mm Pro
>>
>>30395282
Shield is best for CC though you can CC the others as well.
Glock and Sig wouldn't be too bad either.
Check out the Sig P239
>>
Glock 19 now, Shield (or G43, PPS) later.
>>
>>30398573
This. Learn fundamentals on an all-purpose gun that you can carry and maybe throw a light on for hd. After you spend time carrying that you will know what you like/don't like for your next purchase and can keep the other gun as a winter carry or HD gun
>>
>>30397955
Because the difference in size between the 19 and the 26 is negligible.

I'm sure there will be some who disagree, but the 26 is a shitty compromise. It's not big enough for an all-in-one handgun, and it's pretty bulky for a carry handgun.
>>
>>30395282
For daily carry, the sheild. Or a bodyguard if you cant find one.

>all these people recommending a shield over a Glock 19

Bunch of slimey pussies. Glock 19s were literally created for the sole purpose of being concealed. Stop being bitches and carry a real fucking gun. Maybe for backup but not for your primary defensive pistol. At least not in 2016.

>>30395282
OP, out of those, my pick would be the Glock. It's just the most popular and has the most knowledge base, and you can stick a Surefire XC1 on it and have a nice light that was all but created specifically for the Glock 19.
>>
If it's your first gun ever I'd suggest the g19. Easily concealable if you're not a skellington, jack of all trades gun, and reliable as hell.

The shield would be the better daily carry, but if this is your first gun I'd recommend either the Glock 19 or the Sig, as they are better all purpose guns and more fun to take to the range.

I cc a Glock 19. Only time it really gets me is if I'm wearing a tight fitting shirt and bend over (I am a skeleton BTW). You get used to the weight surprisingly fast.

That being said I do like my Sig.
>>
>>30397964
>I hear you about capacity, but seriously if you cant put em down in 7, you have no business with a gun.
fudd detected
pistols are notoriously shitty for stopping targets instantly, especially without a CNS hit.
It's better to have more rounds on tap and not need them.

Ive seen a number of bad reviews of he m&p shield.
There seems to be a lot of effort required to see the magazine into the gun.
unreasonable effort required.
anybody know if that's still the case?
>>
>>30399018
>calls someone a fudd
>thinks you need 14 .30-30 shots to the cerebral cortex to stop someone coming at you

nice strawman faggot

Fudds literally use the argument 'well why'da need more dan 7 rounds of dat .45 anyway? if ya cant do 'em in 7, you wouldnt be able ta git the job done'

>>30395282
Buy something you wouldnt mind losing to davy jones locker.

>>30395282

>>
>>30397398
I have the fns40 and it is easily the best thing in the style and price range, but would rather have a 9c with night sights and no manual safety for carry.
>>
>>30399075
I see your point, but I wouldn't let that be a factor in something that comes down to a life and death situation.

My glock 19 is my prized possession but I'd rather survive and lose it than die because my hi point jammed on me
>>
>>30399044
I have heard similar. But isn't a major deal, you just have to slap that bitch in.
>>
>>30399125
lol you just gotta bang it on stuff like a hammer and itll eventually get in there
I think of that selection I'd go with the glock.
>>
>>30399044
It's true. You need extra effort to load a full mag into the gun when closed. If you have a mag just one bullet short of being full, there's no problem.

This isn't really a huge issue if you're putting the extended 8rd mag in since it's a bit bigger and gives you more leverage than the 7rd mags.

Also the slide stop cannot be used as a slide release, it's too small and way too stiff. Aside from that, it's a really good gun. Extremely soft shooting for its size and it's very affordable if you're on a budget.
>>
>>30395459
i own a 320, shield, and g19. i'd have to say that objectively the g19 is the best of those. but for the sig, if you register for the warranty they send you a 20% off coupon for the sig store, which you can use on the xchange kits for the 320. i bought a full size 9, and with the coupon got the sub compact kit for about 300. was a good deal, so now i carry the sub and switch it to the fullsize for home and competitions.
>>
>>30399084

Why no manual safety? The thought frightens me when drilling at the range and reholstering. Is the time advantage really that signifigant?
