Posting my baby
Gonna take her out this week
Also, anon who bought my stock last year, I know you lurk. How's it working out?
Despite how much people dislike them, PGO shotguns (particularly with the retro Choate grips or birdsheads) will always have a place in my heart, especially when you are carrying one around in the woods for a long distance.

Joining with my 500 Persuader.
>>30386813
I only have one for now. I hope you like it.
>>30386813
>>30386915
It's fantastic just how easily those disassemble
>>30386890
Hey, they are popular for a reason.
SO, I know this may trigger a few of y'all but my mossberg is my HD gun. I have left the safety off on it (stored safely in the hidden case) for...well, a long time.
Took it out he other day to do some more practice with the snap cap things, and when I would rack the pump, my tang safety would flick into the safe position and thought "fuck me"
Fussed with it for a bit, left it on safe for a while and now I can't get it to do it again.
Is this a common issue or was the poor girl telling me to keep it on safe in the future?
>I removed the decal
>>30386915
>>30386962
looks mighty short. sexy tho
It is a "boomstick" you fucking idiot.
>>30386908
kek i have a video of me firing this
>>30386908
What model is that?
>>30386946
I was going to say it was partially engaged and so, working the action engaged it fully but as I try to do that with mine, I cannot replicate the error either.
Honestly, I cannot figure out how it happened. If you tear your Mossberg down, you'll see how painstakingly simple the safety actually is and wonder as I am now just how you managed that. You're either quite talented, lucky, haunted or plain retarded.
>pic related
My contribution to the thread.
Snagged it for under $200 brand new with 3 deepish scratches on the left side from where it get dropped in the parking lot. $20 for the wood furniture on eBay. Great knock around gun.
>>30387600
I think the force of pulling the pump back was enough to cause it to jump.
It would do it in the full fire position, not just partially engaged.
Apparently some people have had this issue before
>>30387600
That gun is a beauty by the way.
So I just Yanked my mossberg from the pelican and attempted to cause the error again, nothing. Plus the safety still clicks back and forth very firmly. Weird.
Maybe it was her was of saying "hey asshole, don't leave the safety off"
>>30387695
>>30387705
Thank you sir, I like her. Yours is very nice too. Sometimes I think about going polymer but I just can't cause muh '80s riot gun look. Such an odd malfunction but guns do have souls so you may be correct in your assumption that she's trying to tell you something.

What clone is this?
>>30388040
dude this makes me want to spray my m4
the warhammer. its just so damn spacey looking, my first gun and i still love it.
I'd never owned a shotgun or fired one. I did some research and then one day forgot everything and just made an impulse buy for a shotgun on sale. Basic but I'm happy with it. Although I've thought of modifying it for the hell of it.
>>30387997
Damn, that camo actually doesn't look like garbage. Never would have guessed
Don't mind me, just posting the smoothest pump ever made.
>he said as his asshole is still clenched from Winchester's decision to outsource 1300 production to turkey where they made no changes except slightly altering the dimensions on EVERYTHING so you can't interchange most parts and then renamed it the SXP
My Mossberg contribution. Excuse the shit camera quality because I took it with my phone.
So I'm torn between putting together one of these or doing a mossman cruiser with a 14" barrel kit and a raptor grip for the magic OAL.
The cruiser would be cheaper but the 870 would be more functional. I may end up subbing the 500 for a SBS Ithaca build project which will no doubt leaving me to want to see if the sage will fit an Ithaca or BPS with proper tapping
>>30386869
hey look, its the trip with 5 piece of shit guns
>>30389882
if you want a practical gun 18inch barrel + folder
26 overall is still long
>>30389964
>folder on a shotgun
>ever
No.
>>30389994
while a folder is worse than any real stock its a million times better than no stock at all
>>30389848
By virtue of being well worn and the nature of 3.5" shells, my 835 has the same features smoothness and "speed pump" as the SXP. REALLY regret not picking up the 1300 defender at a local pawnshop a while back. The wood looks so nice.
I have this fantasy where I somehow become disturbingly wealthy and slowly acquire enough shares of the fallen US firearms manufacturers to systematically restore them to their former glory.
Question is, which one to start with. Browning and Winchester at least have miroku in their corner so they still put out quality product aside from their budget shit. Colt would be the easiest to turn around. Find some random foreign poly handgun to rebrand Ala Springfield, possibly a fixed domestically produced caracal or some dropped design redone in polymer. Start cranking out Retro ARs with period correct kits, push the 901, get back into the DA revolver game starting with a new trooper. Start up a High-power line with a detective model and some modern touches and some REAL 1903s
They snakes can come later, but they would have to be like the Anaconda, mostly cnc work with hand finishing since I have zero hope of using the original equipment or methods.
Maybe dig up all those shelved designs and do some market poles like Ruger.
>>30389848
....but I like my SXP defender anon.
>>30389994
>Said by no one who owns a Vepr 12
Yes
>>30390158
That's a different ballgame. They're out of place on pumps.
My baby, paid 200 for it like new
>>30390220
The 320 is a good budget gun. shares almost everything with a Winchester 1300. though they shaped the tang differently for some reason. though the action isn't as smooth. but what can you expect from a sub 200 gun.
i paid 170 for mine and threw on a Hogue stock. Really hated the feeling of the stock er, well stock.
>>30390174
Thats called an opinion, which unfortunately has no real value.
>>30390420
My opinion is fact.
>>30390445
And that's called a lie
If it were true, then one would weep for it's impotence
>>30387760
Have you looked at the Boyd's stocks at all?
They seem pretty nice.
>>30389918
Cool thanks bud
>>30390467
Only for yours, my friend.
>>30392757
Out of curiosity, how is that model of pistol grip? Choate made, right?
>>30392808
Ya, It is the Choate Ithaca grip. It is quite unpleasant as it concentrates all the recoil onto the web of the thumb. Ranger bands and padded gloves help.
After Call of Duty Black OPS came out I offered to let an annoying COD kiddie shoot it. He shot it once, handed it back to me and proceeded to shut the fuck up about how hardcore he was. I had half-expected him to drop it.
What's the best place to have a gun dipped like these?
>>30387997
>>30387522
1953 La Salle Pump Standard.
>>30387036
Came here to post this. Yes, I'm autistic.
What's the difference between the 500 and the maverick 88 other than the safety placement?
>>30392757
I almost lost all respect for my fellow /k/ommandos.
how does not /k/ into the model37 know...
>>30395065
Cost and the fact that it isn't available at every single big box or sporting good store in the US
I believe that is objectively the best pump action shotgun but the problem is that you just can't buy them at your local Walmart or Big 5 store
>>30395103
I guess you have a valid point. I am lucky to have one.
It is definitely the best and my favorite of them all, and that slamfire.
>>30387600
>$200 brand new
nice
Grandpa's old shotgun from the 30s.
>>30386915
I love mine. Takes under 10 seconds to take apart or put back together.
>>30388892
While I am a owner of a post 08 870 be warned that the pump action versions of the 870's struggle wo extract most cheap shells due to there expansion and warped or shitty extractors. However if your looking for a alright starter shotgun that is heavily modifiable the 870 has plenty of after market options for customization.
>>30395294
fug would love to own a old side by side 12 gauge
also posting a unusual shotgun reverse image search brought up nothing for me
>>30395065
Calling me out! I've got this Deerslayer in 12 and also another in 16 gauge with a 28 inch barrel. Slam fire on both.
>>30395428
thats shopped buddy
Guns are not toys and should be handled safely at all times.
But racking the slide on a pump action shotgun is by far one of the coolest, giggle-inducing things to do. It's just so iconic.
>>30395641
Never knew the GIGN used SPAS 12s
muh benelli nova. ive added a velcro side saddle and an elzetta light to it since.
