What's everyone think of the H&K VP9? I have the opportunity to get one for a good price with some extras. I've been in the market for a striker fire pistol in 9mm but was leaning towards the M&P9. Anyone who has had experience with both?

The determining factor should be the paddle mag release. One big con is the 15rd only mags.

Waiting on some retard to say something about water
>>
>>30378944
very basic gun
i liked it a lot
>>
Paddle mag release, also considering it's about 0.5 inch longer than the G19 it should hold more than 15 rounds.

Whatever, solid gun though I'm sure.
>>
>>30378944
doesn't work in water
>>
>>30378944
I own one and love it.

Oh, you mean the Canik TP9?

Oh, you mean the Walther P99?

barrel is too large in diameter for me to fuck it but it works well nonetheless as an anal plug

Ugh, fucking no.

>>30378994
Yes it does.

Paddle mag release is an advantage. It's much better than the clumsy-ass thumb button.

Also you can buy mag extensions for it if you want 1,000 round magazines.

>>30378944
It's ok. I really like the trigger on it, if I were to buy a striker-fired 9mm pistol right now it would probably be a VP9.

OP here. The trigger is the biggest draw for me. I was gonna get the M&P and get an Apex trigger to go with it. But the stock trigger on the VP9 is exactly what I want. I texted the guy and got pic related. Comes with everything in pic related for $650. Seems like a good deal.
>>
Almost bought this gun but found the recoil to be a little too snappy for my taste. Opted for a cz 75 instead.
>>
>>30378944
nice but prefernece for the p30, handled the VP9 once its like a mix with a glock and p30/USP, prefer hammer fired and the Mack Video does make me a little weary of it
>>
Glock and m&ps are in a whole other league in terms of fighting pistols than any other striker fire out there. Get the m&p.

I like the M&P don't get me wrong, but to get it the way I want I'd have to get a decent amount of upgrades. The VP9 I wouldn't have to get too much else for it. Also night sites!

theyre great guns

this

great deal but ask about the grip panels. looks like just the mediums installed, should come with 3 more large (back left and right) and 3 more small grip inserts. ask if it's the LE version and then it will have true night sights, not glow in the dark dots. great gun with incredible trigger for stock. reset is very nice.
>>
>>30379827
They're in the guns case. I saw them in a different pic he sent. Texted the guy back. I'm getting it.
>>
>>30378944
Have you taken a look at a P320?

just saw this after my post; LE version, nice bonus

congrats, op. good gun great quality.

Got two of them. Love them. Never had any problems with at least 4000 rounds through the first one.

Waiting for VP45 or pic related.

Shot a couple thousand rounds through mine with some fairly low quality ammo at times. Shoots well, reliably, and accurately. It is basically a slightly better Glock, and as a Glock fan, I adore the pistol.
>>
>>30378944

great gun unless you need it to perform in adverse conditions

OR
are you alter reality me?????
What's it like on the other side? Did we win?

It's a shameless ripoff of the walther ppq. It's a solid gun but the walther is better in every way and known to be more reliable.

>>30381822
glock style trigger removes the need for it.
>>
>>30381842
I know, but I kind of liked the idea of everything being controlled by the squeeze grip; safety and cocking. Oh well.

I know it's still a concept, but if H&K releases one of these with the same gas tube setup as the P7 but in a lot lighter polymer frame, I'd buy it immediately. I'd also buy the compact CC version if they make one.
>>
>>30378944
The PPQ is better than both.
>>
OP here, I'm gonna go meet the guy in like 10 min. I'll get more pics when I get back.

gun is probably ok, but you should look to turning that potato into a real phone someday.
>>
>>30384768

Looks great man, enjoy it.

Also remember to use your trigger finger (or middle if you ride that way) to release the mag and don't try to clumsily fumble around with your grip. It's so much faster and enables you to keep your grip. Also remember it keeps you from hitting it with your support hand during shooting or dropping your mag while holstered.

Now go and preach this to others.

Also I forgot, you should totally get a Surefire XC1 for it. The fit looks really nice and the light is really great for home defense, probably the best home defense weaponlight on the market. The Inforce APL is nice too, I have one, but if I were you I would definitely go Surefire instead. The XC1 didn't exist when I bought my APL.

Do your own research obviously but that's my opinion.

Congrats.

>>30385009
Thanks. That light looks like it fits perfectly. I'll have to look into it. Thanks for the tip.
