Kinda like a Kriss Vector, actually. The back half of the BCG is gone, replaced by a strut that guides the bolt, when fired, back into the grip where a spring resides to push it back into battery. The front half of the BCG is pretty much the same as any direct impingement AR, and can accept any bolt face it can fit.
It's why I wanted to probably get a 25-45 Sharps upper and throw it onto one of 'em, make an almost "traditional" hunting rifle out of it.

I live in Wisconsin, so I decided to buy local and build a 100% BCM rifle, with the exception of the mag and handguard.
Handguard is Rock River. I should have gone with Midwest Industries to be 100% pure cheesehead, but w/e.
I think I'm gonna swap out the stock for a Magpul fixed stock once Bravo Company has their rifle-length buffers back in stock. Still debating on putting a MOE hand-guard on it or MI free float. I do want M-LOK tho.

Well, when I was with the national guard with one of my friends who is in, they had us cleaning A2s, A4s and M249s. The weight is pretty balanced on both the A2 and A4. If I were you I'd take into consideration what you want out of it. If you want a sight or grip, go with the A4. If not, A2.

This is true, and doing a quick google search on a FAL action, I can see how you would see the strut as a FAL feature, but the strut is moving into the stock, whereas the SCR, like I said, had the strut move into the curved area where the hand rests when firing.

Apparently he AR variant has the battery housing in the mount/riser. It also takes AAs or AAAs, I forget which. I think the lens covers are different and the AR may come with some kind of slip on cover.

Here is another Colt for you. My point in posting these was that a lot of people don't realize that most barrels on mid-range rifles are sub-moa capable.
Colt uses the same processes on these barrels as they did on rack grade M4s. They are truly nothing special.
People just don't use the proper ammunition to achieve it, or they can't shoot.

The PA Advanced is fine. A used Aimpoint PRO doesn't fetch much more if you wanted something of european manufacture instead of asian.
Finished this a couple weeks ago. Thought about switching the grip and trigger guard back, muzzle device has to stay though.

yes. 5.56 NATO is just a wildcat .223 Remington.

Yes. Generally not the other way around though unless it's a European made gun which are almost always labeled .223 despite usually being being able to shoot both.
