This information is second-hand, but apparently John Tiegen (Tig) came to my parents' town to support a political candidate running for office. He said the events depicted were accurate when asked about the movie. Of course, certain details like the explosions (it IS Michael Bay) were not accurate depictions, but the events themselves were not altered or made up like certain scenes from Lone Survivor or American Sniper.
