Alright /K/ommandos i need some legal help,advise. So went to purchase my first handgun, i live in TN so the gun laws are pretty lax. Anyway when they ran my background check my name redflagged. Well let me tell you a little about my past, ive been to jail about a dozen times never for serious crimes mostly bar room brawls and 2 or 3 times for driving on revoked liceancse. I have no felonies or domestic's. The last time i went to jail was for driving on revoked and that was over 5 years ago. The only thing i can think of is an order of protection my ex signed on me but that was well over 13 years ago . How long are they do they last? Am i gonna have to have her remove it.

If you even have to ask these questions, under no circumstances should you speak to your ex. Go to the court that issued it and find out. Also, call up the FBI and find out exactly why you're a no go. They don't tell the dealer.
