Bought an AR 15 sp1 made in 1981. Paid $1000 for it. Did I do bad, /k/? Plus, AR thread, post your shit.
If you're not trolling us, that's a fantastic deal. They generally trade for around $1,500.

Awesome. I'm glad I made the deal then. Thanks
Hurrrr durrrrr I bought one of those twenty years ago for a lower price than that so you're stupid for paying an inflated price hurrrrrr I bet you paid more than $40 for a nugget too retard hurrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Really good deal. I've seen them spread $1500-1900
Most i see are $1,200 so you did fine.
The M16A1 parts kit I bought was $500, plus $189 for the barrel, $160 for the Nodak spud lower, $20 or so for the molyresin. Of course I spent more than that on the sling, bayonet, and scope and stuff, but you did decently for getting a legit one.
Pretty good deal for something that says Colt on it in general. You did good.

what barrel did you get?

This one, though it was unfortunate that it was black oxide. The M4 feedramps are pretty much only an upgrade and ensure comparability with a lot of lowers but are not accurate. To get the right finish you may have to coat the barrel and sight and stuff with molyresin, which must be applied with an airbrush and baked in the oven. It's a pain in the ass but it gets a decent color match. Mine seems a little light but it sure beats having a light gray lower, dark colt gray upper, and black barrel.

I have been bamboozled by my own grandfather!
