Most recent /k/ purchases - 180 rounds of 8x57, 80 of 5.56, 50 of .357 Magnum. Not much but it's something.
>>
>>30316821
Unless you feel a burning desire for a .454, stick with a regular Blackhawk (they might also maybe still make the Vaquero in .45LC, I know they did at one point).

The shorter rounds lead up the forcing cone in the cylinder (assuming you shoot bare lead, which is 99% of available .45LC ammo), which is just extra cleaning for no real reason if you're not gonna shoot much .454.

>Surefire M300 Scout today
>17 boxes of 28ga Winchester Super X and 11 boxes of 28ga Winchester AA's yesterday because local Sports Authority is closing and had them for ~$6 a box
I also have an Aliengear IWB still in transit for the LC9S.
>>
>>30316836
that's pretty cool
>>
>>30317060
Yeah, no real desire for a .454. Although I would like to have at least one big bore revolver for the collection, though .454 is probably a little much. .44 is on the table, though. Getting a SBH Hunter/SRH could be cool.

Also I really just don't want a vaquero, I already have an Italian SAA clone, so I'd rather have a more modern style.

My birthday is in 2 weeks.

Should I get a wood mini-14 ranch?

Or should I buy a ptr91?

For rifles I have,

I have a AK, AR15 (20"), SKS, Garand, Bunch of 22lrs, pistol levergun, pistol carbine and a nugget already.
>>
>>30316690
Noticed that, did ya? I bought the GI mag after I bought the gun, but since I've no safe to put everything in, I decided to keep it all together in the shipping box. I read in another thread that GI mags are more prone to damage than are PMAGs, so I'm keeping it in the plastic bag until whenever.
>>
>>30316093
A car payment and a CT scan... Was so close to that CZ 75 too.
>>
>>30316721
The RUGER on the barrel is just a plastic sleeve. I put it back on for the picture, but I can take it off at any time.

The last-gen PMAG COULD be because my LGS gets good deals on random new weapons fairly often, so it might just be some older stock.
>>
no major purchases. Just a small plastic ammo can to hold some loose .223 and 6 pmag 30s.

Friends father recently passed, and I was going through the father's stuff to help friend lighten the load of figuring out what to do with it. Found an NRA Marksmanship guide from 1960, and a shotgun cleaning kit from probably the same time-frame. I decided to open it up, clean it, and keep it as a cool old piece of Americana. Found this on the nitro solvent can... Felt soft and fluffy, in a solidified metal sort of way. (Friend put a douchey filter on the pic)

You already have the intermediate cartridge rifle covered, and it's always good to have a good semi-auto rifle in a common caliber (I.e. battle rifle). Now some points compared directly to the Mini-14:

Well, just bought my first gun. Got it for home defense. Was going to go with a 12 but my gf couldn't handle the recoil so I went up to the 20. All in all for everything in pic related plus a second pair of ear protection for her was about $450. Very happy with the purchase.

Many thanks to the guys in the thread last night who helped me out.

It is a 20 gauge. This is some special ammo that fits it for some reason. Shoots a few smaller pellets plus three big discs.

As far as the price, the guy spent a good hour and a half teaching the both of us about guns, so I feel $450 for all of the equipment plus training is very fair. Feel very comfortable right now because of it.

basically, .40 is falling out of favor because 9x19 with proper bullets does 90% of the job with a bit more capacity.

nothing's really wrong with .40, but it isn't as popular as it used to be. used .40s are usually a lot cheaper than used 9mms

i would definitely get more mags- not only that but different brands. the reason is hex mag feedlips dont have a stellar rep in durability. both the ets and hex mags are kind of new.

also, i would flip your front sight around- but i stress, this is simply an aesthetic thing,
>>
>>30325206
Looking/curious for r8's if anyone's interested or willing.
My only regret is that I went with static rear and front irons instead of flips.
Those can come later though.

It isn't banned. So it is not a "pre-ban".
It is filthy fuckheads like you that perpetuate this irritable phrase "pre-ban".
Dipshits on armslist and gunbroker advertise PRE BAN PRE BAN and then try and charge 100% more for the item. Guess what, the AWB rose and fell, so these firearms have nothing special about them existing before or after the AWB.

I was just leery as I heard arsenal's quality had taken a dive a short while after I put the gun on layaway.

Store was asking $1025 for the arsenal, so I sold my pap for $550 and put $300 of it on the arsenal.

I'm honestly just happy that I'll have an ak that I can customize without having to look for niche part websites.
