Which self defense weapon will you use after the gun ban in the U.S.?

1) Bow and arrow

2) Katana

3) Throwing knives

4) Poison Darts

5) Ballistic Knives

6) Flametrower

God knows, maybe one of these

Can't imagine they would have an ex post facto law that would pass the Congress

Unless they try a mandatory buy back.
Fuck that though, I'm not paying for my guns twice
>>
>>30314848
1 is kind of useful, 2 is weeb bait, 3 is plain stupid, 4 and 5 are already banned, and 6 is a good way to burn your house down, although not banned in all states.

That's not how a buyback works, they pay you for complying with the law and turning in your evil weapons like a good civilian
That said, I won't be complying with any buyback either, not for 100,000% over market value.
>>
>>30314983
Despite the weeb association, modern katana are pretty fucking great. Aside from the shape they've got next to nothing in common with the ancient ones, and when they're made of reasonably high quality steel they can do a lot of damage. I've stabbed through a car door with one of mine and it was actually easier then cutting PVC all the way through. They're just huge wedges of extremely strong steel.

They had both better and easier to obtain ore to begin with. The Japanese stuck with bloomery steel, fold homogenization, and lamination/differential tempering because iron sands are a crappy source ore.
>>
>>30320953
The steels they're making now are pretty amazing. Swords cut from a billet of tool steel are strong as shit and can hold fairly ridiculous edges.

I work with the Chinese and they're notorious for selling steel which doesn't meet spec.
Shit, just read about the SF Bay Bridge if you have any doubt
>>
>>30321832
Yeah, I know about the notorious fuckery they pull with their steel. If its a large forge that goes through a lot of steel, then it will be good stuff, because it wouldn't be in their interests to rip them off. The guy I buy mine from actually goes over there to the forge and checks everything out. Did a video where he was talking with the owner and going all through the lines, showing everything from the $10 wallhangers to the $1000 ones hand polished by masters.

ausfag here (plz dont ban me) if you ban guns (just like banning drugs) you push the market into the hands of criminals (we've had an almost complete gun ban since 1996 and multiple buybacks) but those who want guns will get guns

http://www.adelaidenow.com.au/news/south-australia/gunsmith-leon-james-baird-jailed-for-manufacturing-supplying-firearms-able-to-shoot-up-to-600-rounds-a-minute/news-story/f8f17d439488313548ae3274442284a2

no, if i sold you something for $10,000 IT could be hard cash OR it could be credit

ill sell you this piece of tube for $10,000 no cash upfront "credit" tomorrow ill gift you a 10k payment off of the debt, but we can agree that you purchased it on the day for the agreed value of 10k

means you don't need 10k of real cash lying about/changing hands OR they pay it then get it gifted straight back

Well, I would probably use a gun, since there's not going to be a gun-ban here. Even if they bring back the assault weapons ban, there are already so many in existence that everyone and their mother will still be able to get one.

As to the question, I would probably go with taser knuckles.
>>

>>
get pipe, seal bottom with something thats moldable, pour black powder, seal again, add a projectile with cotton to stabilize/seal gas, add some sort of a lock at the back that will hold your ignition and not blow it back

buy xmass tree lights, open em up, powder inside, seal it, use glue or something

if you want to shoot, ram a light up the ass of pipe so it goes through the seal and run a current thru the light - it explodes the powder in the light, which explodes the powder in the pipe, which hurls your projectile of choosing forward

this is pretty much a 'gunless' bullet, but it works - some homeless dudes used these some decades ago in poland

sealing is important, cause black powder is hygroscopic

you can easily make yourself electric ignited bullets using xmass lights and black powder - you just have to be careful about it being sealed off, and creative about the gun itself

this is assuming both guns AND ammo get banned/highly controlled - if you have access to ammo, the gun part is easy, cause guns are primitive devices, ammo is complicated
