>large formations of profesional soldiers training with GOAT MAS36 rifles

I ... I think I just came.

Obviously this won't stop ISIS but just having this many MAS36 rifles in single frame gave me a boner.
>>
>fuck it, imma keep both eyes open
>cant see my rear sight under all the mud anyway.
>>
>>30311663
>implying you need to close one eye to shoot with an aperture sight.

It's nice to see the Kurds aren't neglecting BRM.
>>
>>30311663

fucking fudd
>>
I could have bout one of these at cabelas for 350 buks, it was in good shape, did I fug it up?
>>
Means they're just scrapping at the bottom of the barrel. These have likely been in storage for 50+ years. Maybe shortly after WW2.

But they're still good for training purposes, and can reserve your primary ammunition for the battlefield.
>>
>>30311694
Yes, you did. They're fantastic rifles. Fairly difficult to find ammo though, so reloading is pretty much required.
>>
>>30311711
On that visit there was also a type 38 arisaka for 300, strong rifling and wood was good. Did I fug it further?
>>
>>30311679
you do if your cross eye dominant.
>>
>>30311764
Or you could shoot off the opposite shoulder. Nothing against closing an eye but it's definitely not necessary for the vast majority of shooters.
>>
>>30311694
They're not the most accurate, but they're ergonomic as fuck.
>>
>>30311741
Not as much so, but again, ammo is expensive and difficult to find.

These statements only apply is you like milsurp by the way.
>>
>>30311791
then you have to hold the rifle awkwardly or use your weak hand to pull the trigger.

years of army ranges allowed me to learn to close my dominant eye for a second so I can aim and fire. Then open both eyes again to get the next target.

something babies that only use optics will never learn.
>>
>>30311821
Shooting with your non-dominant hand is in no way awkward, even with a bolt gun (except the K31).
>>
>>30311821
It's not awkward unless you're shooting maybe a righty bolt action or certain bullpups. Being unable to pull the trigger well with your weak hand is not because it's your weak hand, it's because you don't practice weak handed shooting enough.

>implying anyone wants to learn your blinky shooting method
Or we could just keep both eyes open all the time because we aren't cross dominant?

More like the "more than enough reasons to nuke Turkey" starter pack
>>
>>30311928

frankly, i hope we lift the pkk ban, make them our allies, and declare war on Turkey

the saudis will be next after that, and step by step we get rid of the 21st century's barbarians and islamists
>>
>>30311816
Nigga, I love milsurp, I've got a 1903a1, an enfield 1917, a Mosin 91/30, and a k31. It also bothers me when k11s are advertised as k31s. What do you know about SMLEs?

A little, French milsurp is more my speed.

Now is the time to buy French stuff too. A couple years ago you could barely give it away, but prices have been increasing steadily.

>tfw a MAS 36 cost around 800€ here in France
>>
>>30311764
You can learn to use the other eye through practice same way you can learn to shoot from your other shoulder.
>>
>>30312096

LGS still has a mint condition 49/56 in 7.5 with two mags and 40 rounds of ammo for $519

I could probably get it for $475-500 OTD. He's had it a while.
>>
>>30311764
Its a hard life, comrade, but im getting better.
>>
>>30311287
I wonder where they find any ammo for it. Mil surp 7,5 has completely dried up in France at least 16 years ago.

>>30312138
Supply and demand. Since our politicians don't deem us worthy of owning a piece of our history, they sold a load of them to the US at $1 a pop. Then France ratified some anti proliferation of small arms UN bullshit treaty, and started destroying all mil surp except for a handful of guns that were salvaged only to be deactivated. Fuck this country
>>
>>30312096
How much are both mas 36s and berthier carbines worth in good condition then?
>>
>>30311287
Those are security forces in Afrin, and mostly it's either mountains or flat countryside, so bolt actions are alright.
>>
>>30311981
>declare war on Turkey
Yes please. Kick Erdogannout and replace him with a different leader that can respect my people and tell the Azerbaijanis to keep their hairy legs off Nagoroh-Karabahk
>>
>>30312174
If you don't buy it give me the name/number of the shop and I will.
>>30312297
A post war refurb 36 should be between $350 and $425 these days. Bethiers, assuming it's a "m16" would be between $300 and $350, but there are a lot of varients so those prices can change. Theoretically a curaisser carbine would be in the thousands.
>>
>>30312096
>tfw No MAS 223
I would literally suck dick for a semi auto, lever delayed blowback FAMAS. I've heard only a few got to the US
>>
>>30312466
So would I. It's a bit more than a few, between 100 and 300. But yeah, rarer than hens teeth.
>>
>>30312138
I'm sorry :'( but id like to thank your country for my berthier 1916 rifle. better than any shit my fellow americans could crap out.
>>
>>30311287
