Nothing has happened so far. The GOP is going to let the liberals have a few temper tantrums and then pull the rug out of anything other than trivial law changes.
Gun laws would not have helped in Orlando. The guns were acquired legally. Extending the no-fly list to a no-buy list puts a mechanism for controlling gun sales beyond the judicial branch and squarely under the administration's control. Not going to happen with even a small probability of Hillary coming in to power. Messing with the no-fly list opens up the possibility of adding an appeals process. Something the FAA and DoD will not allow to happen.
