Let's all laugh and cry at this lovely collection of "modified" sub2000s I found on the net.
And here we see another miss the point of the sub2000. folding angle stops at 170 degrees
>three sights
>left one obstructs the iron sights
>two flashlights
>unsecured pressure switch
I wish I had this kind of disposable income.
>>30291654
how the hell does that work? wouldnt the sight end up on the bottom?
This one is less of a tragedy and more of a missed opportunity.
>>30291679
That particular rail can loosen and spin 180 degrees.
this is a gem
dx
>People's Demokratik Republik of Kalifornia approved
>>30291814
That poor light hanging on for dear life
>>30291421
I think I have that $16 reflex on my at :(
I think the one on the bottom is the sig p226 model, but I'm not sure.
Personally have nothing against the s2k but every single one I have seen at the range has been owned by a fat guy.
Why.
>the giraffe
>And here we see a sub2000 owner that achieved his fifth prestige. He was rewarded the "blue tiger stripe" skin for his hard work and sick noscopes
most of the above mods make this one look like a basic bitch
For the discerning gentleman that seeks to miss his targets quietly.
>suit
>boots
If I see a truglo on your gun, I'm gunna think you're poor.
for some reason, this one made me laugh
last one. hope you guys enjoyed looking.
>>30291907
this made me laugh
>>30292172
I enjoyed it thoroughly, thanks a lot OP
I just don't get it. I want a sub2k. I will shoot ~100 rounds of my preferred brands through it, clean it, put it in my trunk, and hopefully never need to touch it again.
It's a fucking sub2k. That's all they exist for. Why waste your time putting all this shit on a rifle that is utterly incapable of performing as well as its peers in any metric that isn't "fold up and go away"?
>>30294439
Same reason bubba has his way with SKSs.
It's cheap, and they can't get it into their heads that if they saved their money they could buy something better for less and still get all the features they want.
>>30291622
I'm more worried about that poor Glock. Is that an extended barrel under the mass of cheap plastic or just junk?
>>30294457
They're NOT cheap right now. You're not finding one in 9mm for less than 600 unless the guy selling it is a retard.
>>30291716
>>30291737
these are decent. sling + optic + grip. If I could find one I'd probably switch out the shitty iron sights for something better in addition.
>>30294457
>and still get all the features they want
what other options are available for a folding/breakdown gun that's quick to reengage? I'm willing to put enough lipstick on this pig and make it serviceable at 100yds.
>>30294683
You might notice that the vast majority of these rifles are no longer able to fold, at least not fully. They don't even know what they want, all they know is that they must bubba.
>all gen1s
Nothing of value lost.
>>30295108
a lot of them have that Red Lion rotating forend that locks in place, so everything can rotate out of the way when you fold it.
not condoning the bubbaship, just saying. If I got my hands on one of these I'd probably get that as well (or a rotating sight mount like >>30295211 though I hate the fact that you need to tie the charging handle back so it doesn't accidentally smash into your sight).
>I have bought a light, foldable carbine
>let's cover it with accessories so it doesn't fold anymore and is as heavy and cumbersome as possible!
Unless there is a rotating sight mount, most of these guys should have bought a 9mm AR.
>>30294683
AR-15 is frankly very quick to pop the upper and lower back together especially with a few times practicing it.
Kel-Tec also makes the SU-16 and some .22mag that are both breakdown, iirc.
>>30292073
>bottom button done up
What a fag.
Do they make a mount that allows for a red dot to stay attached while the weapon is folded?
>>30291907
They spend all their money on junk food.
>>30294516
I got mine for $385
>>30292073
Jesus Christ, where the hell did he buy that suit? From a big and tall rack at a common department store?
sub2000/10
>>30294439
I have the gen2 and I got it because I live in a small apartment so space is a premium and I didn't want jump through ppp hoops at the time. It lives in a drawer and the only thing I've put on it is a red dot on a quick release riser. Only future plan I have for it is to swap out the peep rear sight for a flip down notch sight.
It's a fun gun to shoot and it's convenient to haul around but I agree, it's never going to be your best gun. All the tacticool attachments are just a waste of money. Like suping up an old beater.
>>30296889
For the gen1 red lion makes a replacement for rent that rotates.
>>30297285
>For rent
What the fuck Android. *Fore end
>>30297252
>Like suping up an old beater.
Or ricing out a Honda Civic.
https://youtu.be/U7BRf0JC1iE
I did mine like this.
>>30291622
what in the hell is that thing on the glock?
extended barrel compensator but how the fuck does it attach to the frame? or is it a toy.
hurr durr nevermind I see the old frame and barrel. Never seen a aftermarket frame with all that bullshit
>>30291679
red lion forend rotates so that the gun can fold without taking off the sight
the only other option is a flippy hinge on the sight
>>30299408
Timberwolf frame. They're retarded.
>>30299422
did they discontinue it? looks funny as shit
Wanted a new frame with a front rail for my g19, mines a gen2. But my god everyone wants a fuck ton. Might just attach a rail or give up on the idea altogether
>>30299488
They're still around, last I checked.
>>30291421
You guys can shit on the sub2000 all you want. I personally don't own one, but it's the ideal weapon for an urban based raceway, especially if you live in a bad (black) area. The sub2000 can accept standard glock and keltech magazine which is what pretty much 70% of minorities use
>>30299504
***racewar
Am I the only one with a tastefully modified Sub 2000? All I have is a nylon sleeve for a 33 round mag and a rubber pad for the bolt handle
>>30299504
>The sub2000 can accept standard glock and keltech magazine which is what pretty much 70% of minorities use
You mean Hi-Point, Cobra, Jennings, and all the other ring of fire specials.
>>30299569
Mine has the rubber charging handle, rubber cheek piece, manaco trigger kit, and the Midwest industries flippy sight mount.
Honestly don't even know what else to put on it.
>>30299628
Forgot about the cheek piece. Honestly anything more than that defeats the point of a folding carbine. I keep it in a get-home bag. And too much shit weighs your ass down
>>30299569
I put electrical tape around mine's grip and a rubber cover over the tube.
>>30299648
nobody cares what you think
>>30299648
Uh, no? It's literally just a rubber sleeve and is a lot more comfy than bare metal. Adds no real weight or bulk.
But yes otherwise agreed. I wish there was an easy and compact way to clip on another happy stick.
>>30299675
I wasn't shitting on the sleve, ive got one.I was shitting on rails and shit.
>>30299693
Maybe a handall. Hmm.
>>30299693
wash your fucking sheets!
>make a gun that folds in half
>adding anything to the top of the gun completely negates this feature
why didn't they make it fold sidewys
>>30299733
probably werent expecting people to strap all sorts of stupid shit to it
better yet why don't they just make a non folding railed out tacticool pistol cal carbine?
>>30299733
Would've been bulky as fuck. It remains like 1.25 inches wide this way.
Can we make this a tasteful sub2000 thread now??
>>30292073
>needs gun that fits in a briefcase
>not mp5k
Why even bother?
>>30299878
NO!
post your sub2k so we can make fun of you for whatever minor reason!
>>30299962
Tfw I'm an Ausfag...
>>30300018
why are you even here then?
Slightly off topic, why the fuck are sub 2000 so expensive?
I wanted to get one a while back but for the same price or less (as of a month ago) you could get an AR
>>30300163
because kel-tec shit is hard to find
ive seen a grand total of 3 RFB's in about 4 years available in gun stores. 1 was about 800 bucks but i listened to /k/ and didn't buy it because "lol keltec meme"
bonus protip: Don't listen to /k/
>>30299504
>>30299549
Which side of the racewar are you planning to be on? Besides like >>30299612 said minorities typically can't afford Glocks.
>>30300197
With the Desert Tech coming out next year you did well to save your cash.
>>30300197
You need to get good. Stores near me have them all the time
>>30300163
$500 isn't expensive for a gun, at all.
ARs are just dirt cheap and skewing your perspective.
>>30300197
To be fair Keltecs are pretty shit. The PMR-30 is still stupid hard to find and has been recalled.
>>30300252
>next year
I'm laughing at you.
>>30300272
I've never understood why they don't just ramp up production. With all of the projects they've been developing, capital clearly isn't an issue. And there's definitely demand.
Is their management just retarded?
>>30300330
I've heard two stories.
One is that the company is really an aerospace company and only makes guns between aerospace contracts.
The other is that they just suck at production. Some guns, like the small pistols, they can crank out. The interesting stuff? You pay a lot of money to test it out until they recall it.
>>30291622
Pretty sure the thing on the bottom of the handguard is a chinkshit laser. It's got zeroing turrets.
>>30292052
underrated post
>>30299934
Stock? Better control of the weapon when firing? Half the weight? Takes glock magazines?
>>30295285
And then they put a cantilever mount on (backwards) so anything they put on their $300 rotating handguard whacks into the pistol grip 2/3s through the rotation and it doesn't fully fold anyway.
>>30300556
>Can shoot it while in briefcase
>full funs
LETS TAKE THIS LIGHT COLLAPSIBLE SURVIVAL RIFLE AND MAKE IT HEAVY AS FUCK HERHERHER
>>30300330
They insist on growing the company naturally, only expanding when they have the cash to do so rather than taking out loans. That's fine and all, but the demand is very very clearly there.
I kinda want one but I don't know what a good price is.
>>30301411
$500 is decent for a gen 2.
>>30300693
It seems like a novelty.
Have fun reloading from within the suitcase after 90 percent of your shots fail to connect with your target due to improper grip, stance, and impossible to access optics. Don't get me wrong, it looks like fun, but I'll take the Sub2k for real life. It's great as a trunk or saddlebag carbine.
>>30295211
What's the point of mounting that optic that way if you have to remove it to fold/unfold it?
>>30302796
You don't.
>>30302994
The how does it clear the stock tube?
>>30303029
It pivots out of the way
>>30291485
>place flashlight on handgaurd
>wrap duct tape around handgaurd
>Add $400 USD to the selling price on armslist
>>30303040
How? What's the model of it?
>>30291640
>iGun
>>30303284
iWant
>>30303230
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J_aCdGOXVeY
honestly with the gen2 that's all I'd do to it apart from a trigger kit, usual rubber comforts and sling. maybe change the rear peep to aluminum open. I'm glad they don't sell them with that shitty plastic front sight anymore.
>>30300561
you don't rotate it 180 degrees, just 90 degrees so everything sits to the sides of the gun when it folds. not the way I'd do it since it adds too much bulk, but it still folds.
>>30291538
I actually like the look of this.
>>30291640
>not using the iphone as a sight
>not using the camera and the center mark as your reference for aim
do you even iOperate?
>>30301295
This, they won't acuire buisness debt in the form of loans to scale production, this means the company can only grow so fast.
In otherwords they are ultra-conservative fiscally. On the one hand i dont agree with their fiscal stance when it comes to buisness and think they could make more(you have to spend money to make money) as well as better fill demand, but on the other hand i can respect the fact that they are deplbptora to no one and don't have to answer to anyone other than demand and maintaining a profit.
Why they allow people to resell their wares uber expensive instead of just marking up their product to meet market price minus wholesaler middleman profits is beyond me.
>>30300197
Generally speaking, yeah.
But I've recently been to an academy sports that had a PMR30, RMR30, Gen2 Sub2k and KSG.
They also had twice as many handguns as the usual place but damn it was crazy to see all of em at one time
>>30300330
They have ramped up production, that doesn't stop people from buying their shit immediately. Same shit with.22lr
>>30301902
>novelty
>literal secret squirrel shit
Pick one and only one. It wasn't meant for picking guys off of rooftops ffs
>>30302994
>>30302796
Its a twisting optic mount made by MW its exact purpose is to allow exactly that.
