I don't know if he really had 30 magazines but if that is true it would be close to 50 pounds in ammo alone.
I can empty a magazine fairly quickly but I don't because ammo is expensive. It's possible he did all this. It'd be tough but definitely doable.

10 seconds X 30 Mags Changes = 300 seconds

The thing is that it goes through armor well, but will start tumbling after hitting soft targets. I think it would do 2 or 3 fatally, especially with distance between targets, but wouldn't translate directly to density/hardness penetration.
