don't know what you're going to use said truck for but guy I work with has one and he hates it driving thru downtown interstate rush hour traffic but other than that he likes it, I had a old 89 Toyota 4x4 pickup when I was 16 that I loved but when I hauled two zero turn mowers and a trailer that little 4 banger was struggling both pulling and controlling all that weight since it would push you around in those old tin can trucks
just my two cents if it isn't 4x4 there is no reason to own a truck, and to me a manual in a lightweight truck seems pointless as their main benefit is for hauling loads on the regular compared to automatics constantly shifting under load

I don't know. A properly sorted out old truck isn't going to have too many issues. When something does arise it usually isn't something that cannot be fixed with just your basic set of hand tools.
I've been driving my '68 F250 for nearly four years now in Alaska and have never had any major issues. Just routine maintenance and the occasional upkeep necessary with a nearly fifty year old vehicle. Its not your typical garage queen either. It gets used often for actual truck stuff, not just weekend show and shine.

It's got a gutless 2.5L turbodiesel, 5 speed manual, mostly stock except for the bull bar and a heavy duty clutch.
Planning on getting a 2.5" exhaust and possibly a larger or more efficient turbo for it, something to make highway cruising and general acceleration better.
