I wanted one for years and years but never wanted to pay as much as they cost because they're expensive for what they are, but I found this one locally for $500 with fifteen or so surplus mags and one 30 round Promag (which is hit or miss) so I went with it and it's been great the past year and ~1500 rounds I've put through it haven't caused any issues whatsoever

If I ever find another, either 9mm or .45, I want to get this done. I already need to get a second stock for the 9mm, so I can cut 2" off for my wife. Won't cut down an original, but there's only 2 companies making new stocks; one does laminate thumbholes, and the other does wood.

The mount swivels out of the way, allowing it to fold without removal. Pretty much the only thing the sub2000 was waiting on to make it great.

No, not really. It's a bit ungainly, but not difficult. You can't really put a can on one, unfortunately, since it would prevent you from opening the tube.

I ran two boxes of .44 mag through my 1894 in an afternoon and felt it for one day afterwards.
