Then as a prior soldier and current peace officer, I would request that you no longer feel insulted for anyone. Camo is not a uniform. Camo is camo. If a cop came out with bullshit medals and a US Army tab, that would be an issue. But when Law Enforcement is required to handle National Security type incidents, they are making a special sacrifice for their country. Is the shemagh stupid? Yes, granted a shemagh is not part of a US Servicemember's uniform. I know very few people who were ever in the service who have issues with Law Enforcement wearing camo, plate carriers, and carrying AR style rifles. The ones who mind it are the ones who are afraid that there is some grand scheme to steal muh rights and confiscate guns, when in all actuality, every cop I know would fight alongside gun owners if given that order.
