Tommy Bahama isn't even an expensive brand.
Holy shit you guys.
>>30210236
t. Guy who probably doesn't think 80k a year is very much money.
>making conditions so bad that a hot civil war breaks out
>>30210244
...it's not...
>>30210267
That's the attitude that leads some to see Tommy Bahama as a perfectly affordable brand.
Gain some perspective anon.
>>30210267
That's just about $40 an hour...there's a ton of people these days that'd kill for even $18 an hour.
>>30210084
Is that a fucking bandana
>>30210312
Yep... WOLVERINES
I was just looking for headwear of some kind to add in.

>>30210244
It's not. It's comfy but wouldn't say a lot
>>30210410
>It's comfy but wouldn't say a lot
It's said that 90k is the sweet spot: that any less and you'll have financial stress, any more than 90k won't make a difference in your happiness.
Either way, 80k is a hell of a lot to me when your family is impoverished like mine: I think when I was a teen my parents made a total of maybe 90k for a year or two, but it wasn't felt because of the debt we had. So, I think it's relative based on where you come from.
>>30210171
Why do I want this so bad?
>>30210462
Intresting, any source on that? I'm curious how they came up with that. Being a single guy with no kids I for sure could be happy at 90k. I agree it's from perspective. Growing up I was poor for a while things got better in middle school and high school but yeah it's all perspective based. Just surprised a little because never really heard TB that looked at as expensive. Then again for some people $65 for a floral print shirt is a lot.

Here's just one source: http://www.cbsnews.com/news/how-much-does-the-good-life-cost/
It seems to vary a bit from site to site.
Yeah, my family doing OK was pretty short lived: my dad ended up losing his job, and we never bounced back. My parents aren't together anymore, so it doesn't really matter. $65 on ANY piece of clothing that isn't shoes/boots, or a good jacket is a lot to me. But I'm used to going to Goodwill where I manage to get brand names for like ten bucks that sooths my poorfag pain a little bit.
>>30210656
Thanks, Anon. I'm going to give that a read
>dad lost his job never bounced back
>parents not together
>goodwill shopping; dat name brand excitement
Anon, I can relate. My dad let his business partner fuck him out of millions and pushed him out of the company, still around today and very successful, dad couldn't deal. My mom and I shopped at GW all the time. Fast forward she's making six figures a year on her own and still goes to GW because she still can't shake the once poor thing I guess. Great thing about this country(not like the one my dad was in when he got fucked) anon is you can climb up or bounce back.

>Great thing about this country(not like the one my dad was in when he got fucked) anon is you can climb up or bounce back.
Very true. Being in a poor situation isn't a death sentence like it feels like it is: that's just the lack of control you feel due to not having much money, because it often feels (or is) that money is the only way out. Being poor often comes with an infected mindset, and that's part why you see multiple generations of poverty.
People like to make it sound like getting ahead in America is a pipe dream, but it's still very much an open playing field.
