If I had to make a completely uneducated guess, they are being removed from USSOCOM inventory to make way for the standardization of the HK 417. Doesn't really add up as there are still M14s and M110s floating around.

Yeah, no. Not for a while at least. OP's pic are just shot out barrels and broken mags/suppressors being demilled. It's stupid and sad, but the SCAR isn't going anywhere any time soon.

What's interesting to me, and something nobody else seems to have noticed, is that those aren't Mk17 barrels but those instead from the Mk20 - Distinguishable by the additional barrel support screws on the trunnion. Again supporting the notion that they are simply burned out and were pulled for no longer meeting accuracy requirements.
The AAC 18T MITER flash hiders in the box were removed by armorers from the existing Mk17 barrels and replaced by the new FN ECP flash hider you can see in pic related. The AAC suppressor it appears has almost completely been phased out in favor of FN's own design.
