What's the best economical ar carry handle? Not too into spending $90 on a Colt model..
>>
>>30189484
Just buy one on backpage. People pull them off rifles and sell for $30 regularly.

You can't just buy a carry handle and pop it on your AR anon.

You need either a commercial or milspec height handle depending on your front sight.

F-marked front sights require a "mil-spec" height carry handle, for this the rear sight shelf is .835 with a margin of error of about .005

Standard A2 front sights will use a commercial model which is about .795, again, a very small margin of error allowed.

Get the wrong one for your rifle and you're going to have issues getting it properly zeroed.

If you're using a flip-up front sight then I have no idea what you need to use.
>>
>>30189484
I don't know, man... You should probably just buy something like Colt. Otherwise you might end up with some Chinese airsoft gun part that can't hold a zero worth a damn.
>>
>>30189484

If you think $90 for a part like that is too much, you should probably just stick with Hi-Point carbines. All the ~$30 ones are chinkshit.
That being said, you can get surplus (more like "dropped off a truck") Colt carry handles for cheap on eBay sometimes.
Some might need to be stripped completely, cleaned out and greased+oiled to actually work properly, but they're cheap and I like the battle wear, personally.
>>
Yeah, its just had for me to justify putting a $90 sight on a ~$450 ar. Also its mil spec.

Some people enjoy modularity, faggot.
>you don't like what I like so you're a homosex
>>
>>30189832

If you have an F-marked front sight, go to gunbroker.com and just buy a colt take off or something. You're going to be paying $50+ for what you want either way, even if it's used. You can't cheap out on everything.
>>
>>30191812
>You're going to be paying $50+

Bought a Colt takeoff for $34 on eBay.
>>
>>30189484
>Cheaping out on sights
There's a few things on a rifle you can afford to be a little more money stingy with
Sights are not one of those things.
>>
Do MP 15's use F marked front sights?
>>

>Do MP 15's use F marked front sights?

I have an M&P 15 Sport II that came with an A2 front sight, and it is F marked.

It might come as a surprise to you, but there are people here who can tell a previously issued Colt CH from an airshit knockoff. Retard.

Actually surprised I said I had one, and didn't get:

All flat top uppers use F marked front sights and take normal carry handles

Stop spreading bullshit

I have a carry handle on my battle mug and it's hard to get my hand inside it.

>I have a BBL that was made by Might Odin himself, when he mistook the heat treated alloy for a Dragon Dildo, and clenched

Seriously, just stop.
>>
Just get a scope. Anyone who actually uses a "carrying handle" to carry their rifle shouldn't have the damn thing to begin with.
>>
>>30194181
scopes are a crutch
>>
>>30194181
>carry handles are stupid and anyone who use them should not own gun
Are you for real?
>>
>>30194308
t. someone who cannot afford a scope in addition to irons
>>
>>30194358
I like carry handles for multiple reasons, one being I can still have my optic on top of it and not have to do anything else to use my irons. I also, like them because I think they are pretty damn sexy. Finally, I have been shooting ARs with carry handles for years and that is just what I like, I own ARs with flat top receivers and they work pretty good too.

I got one of these. Best ratio of quality to price currently.
>>
>>30193763

Not true, especially if someone is cutting corners during a build.

Bushmaster flat-top ARs (some of them, but not necessarily all) for instance use a standard A2 front sight and shorter carry handle.

Says the fag with the SS barrel and cheap shit NiBO BCG.

Super authentic A2 brah. Who needs CHF anyway? Yknow, besides every military and police agency since like 1967.

>Pros:
> BCM grip
> fully collapsed stock
> Noveske lower

>Cons
> quad rail
> miles of empty rail
> retard tier sling setup

1. Install shorty fixed stock
2. Install rear QD point at 3 o clock at the end of stock
3. Get an A2 upper
4. Install front QD point at 9 o clock near front sight
5. ???
6. Profit
>>
>>30194181
Shut up, faggot.
>>
>>30192242
Thanks m8
>>
>>30195266
Now I kind of regret getting my A2. I think its because I want to out an ACOG and a KAC rail+for grip on that and invade Baghdad.

I like my A2 tho. Could just build another upper for cheap. Like $250 cause I have a stripped upper already and could just use the BCG and CH and LOWER from my A2

How fucking new are you? It's nice and all but the wear would be negligible for most shooters.
>>
>>30189484
You can get exact replicas that work just like, if not better than the real thing from airsoft websites for $10.
>>
>>30199952

No you can't, fuck off.

If you want, check out arfcom's equipment exchange. I got a matching spike's handle for my spike's ar for ~$60 brand new in the wrapper
>>
>>30196769
How can you tell the receiver(s) aren't hammer forged?
If I wanted to build a nice (not just functional) AR with CHF receivers, what are some good manufacturers?
>>
>>30189534
i was going to say ebay. there are some legit beat up ones from training/duty rifles or whatever. they go for about $20-30
