Also, I really want to own a good nugget or an M14. They're solid, durable rifles, they pack a good punch, they're accurate, and the M14 at least has readily available ammunition. Both are also reasonable to use with scopes and are viable to use with bayonets and are specifically intended for war fighting.

Fellow Canuck here. In the event of an invasion or a civil war you could always grind the pins off your magazines, depending on which they are. SKS's are stupid easy to remove the magazine pin. I'm sure seeing their own citizens fighting the invaders would the kick in the ass they need to remove mag limits anyways.
