How does the Mi28 Havoc compare to the AH-64 Apache? Is either one superior in some way to the other?
One is better armored ones more maneuverable
The 28 has a bigger combat load and can use bigger rockets the 64 can use F&F Missiles.

>the AH-56 never entered production
it hurts to live
Mi-28's record thus far hasn't been particularly impressive.

Different classes. Ka-52 vs Ah-64 is real deal.
>>30165615
You cant really compare the two, each are used for entirely different purposes.

Why even live?

Hurts even more that the RAH-66 was canceled after all development was finished.

No, KA-52 is not a tank hunter like Mi-28 is. KA-52 is like a heavily armed kiowa

Ka-52 could be a perfect tank-killer with 9K121 Vikhr (Operational range 8-10 km)
>>30168447
>could be
But that's not it's role.
>>30168511
Apache also not a tank killer in their role. Its CAS now.
MEANWHILE, at Sikorsky.

I expect the next one to be like this, but with Osprey wings with counter-rotating propellers for a total of 7.

One cool thing about the MI-28 is that it can carry 3 people inside, as well as the crew. So if another helo goes down, they can be rescued by another helo. Very cool little feature. On the Apache they'd have to ride on the outside of the chin bumps.

Its primary purpose in the army is still tank hunting, just because it's got nothing better than CAS to do at the moment, doesn't mean it's not a tank hunter.
