Marvel and Molon Labe are currently in contest over the design. Apparently there was some weird period where the logo wasn't owned by Marvel, but by Columbia for the 2004 movie, and since the movie flopped they kind of let it fall into limbo. Now Molon Labe tried to copyright it, since they've been using it for years, and Marvel is counter suing for rights to the logo.
