My dad gave me an awesome holster for my USP Compact. I recently helped him buy a USPc and he bought us both the same holster. Whenever I holster my gun in this holster, it automatically switches my safety off.
Here's my question: is it safe to carry a SA/DA pistol in Double Action with the safety off? I'm used to carrying in Double Action with the safety on.
The USP has a firing pin block that keeps the hammer from falling unless the trigger is pulled. The trigger pull on DA is about 11 pounds.
Am I safe to carry like this? What are the odds the trigger could get engaged enough inside my holster to discharge the weapon.

This, that's exactly how I carry my FNX OP. Assuming your holster is covering your trigger, it's not going anywhere.

I carry a shield 9mm with no safety and did a trigger kit in it. You'll be fine.

You shouldn't carry with safety on anyways.
The heavy pull on most DAs is enough safety to prevent handling accidents when carrying. Just practice drawing and shooting with snap caps if you don't believe me.

Absolutely. Most cops that use a DA/SA (Chair Force PoPo myself) carry round in the chamber, hammer down, safety off as standard operating procedure.
This is why I get DA handguns desu
The the safety on and the hammer decocked I don't ever worry about a ND into my dick.
