Given that the feed chute and ammo can are superimposed into the LMG diagram, I believe that that one is more of a concept design than a prototype.

I know Gene developed belt-fed versions of the 10 and 15, but they usually involved a more conventional side-feeding design. That picture's a little misleading because it looks like the feed chute is going into the magazine well, but it really goes into the left side of the receiver and the links would be ejected out of the mag well with the brass being ejected out of the ejection port as it would on a normal AR.

Here you can see the left side of the receiver, allowing you to view the feed system better.

The Schwarzlose 1908 was a German semiautomatic pistol that used an unusual blow forward action. From wikipedia:

>The Schwarzlose employs a very distinctive "blow-forward action" operating mechanism. It has no slide, instead the mechanism is operated by the barrel being projected forward due to the gas pressure and the friction of the bullet passing through the bore, the compressed recoil spring drives the barrel back, stripping the top cartridge from the magazine, chambering the round, and pressing the cartridge head against the standing breech, which is part of the frame.

To all ya folks hating on the pistol-singleshot shotty combo. From the comparison of the barell diametres, it really looks more like a 20ga then 12ga. Still, it looks like a neat thing to have. And by the ways, the barrel for the shotty seems to be more on the mid-point of the fist, implying it would recoil straight into the forearm, arm and body, instead of snaping a wrist. Either that, or I'm very much drunk... which I am. Butt still.

The liberator was actually highly unreliable. Where a magazine goes with an autoloader, there is just a space for loose rounds. It held nine or ten, but the gun would only last through five or six.
