Neat... but why?
>>
>>30078865
To swarm radar defenses. Other companies claim that a tiny UAV has the same signature as an "F-15".

Now imagine what a cluster fuck that is going to be for the person watching that screen.
>>
>>30078888
fairly sure this already exists as MALD, except this can be launched from the ground
>>
>>30078894
That's what I was referencing.
>>
>>30078722
Get them to dispense chaff at regular intervals, and say goodbye to radar being useful at all.
>>
>>30078894
MALD's great for point jamming and coordinated SEAD. But it's gotta be damn expensive. It'd be nice if there was something cheaper you could just spam like a motherfucker to create a window of opportunity in case the USN is otherwise occupied.
>>
>>30078865

They're mini suicide drones with a small explosive charge
>>
>>30078722

so basically a missile with a lot of loiter time
breddy neat

MALD's actually cheap as fuck considerin what it is.

Just over $100,000.

Considering you're only going to be using them to curbstomp IADs most of the time, thats a cost low enough to spam the hell of out of.

>only works against artillery with radio proximity fuses aka, russian made
>still spreads shrapnel all over the target area

brilliant.

>>30081123
>able to counteract not only radio controlled fuses
>only works against artillery with radio proximity fuses
>protects personnel and equipment within the territory of 50 hectares
>shrapnel
Go play with your drones in CoD, kid.

D-21 reconnaissance drone. When the A-12/SR-71 were under development, AA missiles were starting to get pretty good. Deep penetration over Soviet airspace with manned aircraft was judged to become too risky. So an unmanned drone with camera was developed.

During initial testing, an M-21 (A-21 modded as launch platform) was lost with one fatality. The D-21 was then redesigned to launch from a B-52 at lower speeds with a rocket booster to get it up to speed to light its engine.

>round goes off in the air over the target but not at optimal height
>shrapnel somehow isn't affected by gravity and is somehow magically directed up and away
>VT fuses completely unaffected

You sure are ''''''''''''''''''''smart''''''''''''''''''''.

That's mean, they use cheap electronics and can be jammed
>>

>they use cheap electronics and can be jammed

Which is exactly what they want

Do you not understand the idea behind them or something?

They need to just make a drone version of the SR-71.

You keep trying, but you try not hard enough. You need to try harder.
>>
>>30084169
Tell me what other fuses it counters then.

I'd love to know how it deals with a mechanical VT fuse or impact like DPICM :)

I concur, people should laugh at you.

Things sure aren't getting any easier for Russians to deal with. Within 5 to 10 years, Russians will have to deal with drones, decoys, jamming, swarms, pgm, and stealth all at once. A huge clusterfuck in the sky. The only thing Russians have is MUH L-BAND.
