If you could give an Allied soldier one weapon from the 21st century, what would it be?
HARD MODE: It can't be an AR-15.

.30 carbine akm with a paratrooper stock and 16" barrel.
Beat the krauts to the assault rifle concept. They could reverse engineer and mass produce in a heartbeat and already have ammo available just start loading .30 carbine hot.
If that one guy had the sense to take the gun to someone who could use it.
>giving the guy a weapon
>in a caliber that doesn't exist yet
Wew, one mag. you really shortened the war lads.
Like, an Allied soldier today?

I'd give the krauts an RPG-7 and watch them reverse engineer it and win the war.
Hiroshima and Nagasaki were fucking jokes
also it probably pushes us into the timeline where America develops fusion warheads and ICBMs by 1948. the 60's become the first decade in a while without commies as America turns it's focus on it's new bases on the moon.
PKM.

>implying an RPG would win the war.
Don't do what a panzerfaust isn't already doing. That's because the RPG is based on the panzerfaust.
no matter how many tanks you knock out, more will come.

I don't see what good it would be giving one guy a single weapon, unless he could immediately be sent home with it for R&D.
>>30043315
I'm gonna go with some late variant of the Centurion tank. Easy to reverse-engineer with the materials of the day, huge upgrade potential(there are Centurions in service today), and ridiculously effective for the time period.

I will instead go back and give a german soldier a g11 with a few thousand rounds.
Then I would want to watch as a r&d try to figure out how the fuck it works.

This. I mean, at best you're going to run out of ammo and at worse they won't be able to understand what they're looking at.

This is illogical.
Sure, it may seem like something out of "Amazing Stories Quarterly", but once you tell them how the mag release works, it'll be like any other gun to him.

I was thinking more along the lines of a MANPAD or UCAV.
I certainly don't think a WW2 soldier is going to be befuddled by an assault rifle.
>>30044811
>MANPAD or UCAV.
Ah, that makes more sense. but even still most of em look like a bazooka, so including the manual of operation will be all that's necessary.
