That's cool man, I hope I can get one of those someday. I was checking out all the other ww2 milsurp guns but went with this because the ammo is cheap and easy to find.
The same store also had an m44 and an svt-40 with period correct scope that was giving me a boner... along with a bunch of other old stuff, but I decided to play it safe.
Put the wood on last week. I wanted to find a 20" upper with a non-removable carry handle to do this but a cheap base rifle with a flat top presented itself. They threw in the carry handle so I can't complain.

If it has no stock and still has an 18" barrel and 26" overall, it is a "firearm" no stamp required, any shorter lengths than those and it needs a stamp.
