What's the current equivalent to what mosin nagant was 5/10 years ago? Aka cheapest available actually decent rifle to elevate me from noguns to hasguns
mosin nagant

Ruger 10/22: affordable, decent, plenty of parts/customisable, good intro platform for beginner.

Not OP, but my cunt has shitty firearm laws, and been looking at these since they're one of the few things I can get

You won't regret it. 10/22 is a long-running and extremely well-maintained series of firearm. It is easily one of the most popular in the US and the different stocks, barrels, triggers, are a tinkerer's dream. Only downside, if any, is that .22lr isn't exactly a heavy hitting caliber for defense or hunting...but a plinker, target, and small game shooter's delight...a great intro firearm.

Sounds good, out of curiosity, how much do they go for in the states?
I bet they cost a bunch more over here anyway, but it'd be good to know

Hi Point carbine.

$200 usd and up depending on kit and model, etc
8mm Mauser
Wasr 10 or a PSA AR.
Aren't SKS and Maverick 88 extremely cheap?
>>29988083
SKSes aren't worth it anymore, better off getting a budget AK or even AR
>>29988058
Not to diss one of the most under rated cartridges, but wouldn't that rifle require a reloading setup, considering how few companies produce ammo in the U.S.?
>>29985721
Honestly building your own PSA AR is probably the best value.

The days of cheap SKSs are over, for a variety of reasons.
A 12ga pump is probably the cheapest way to go from noguns to hasguns (got my 870 for $150 this year), but OP asked for rifles.
